Hertha's Pokal (cup) shirt is a poor bastard child of the pretty good home jerseys this year :/

My 1999-2000 Puma VfL Wolfsburg Jersey/Trikot in size XL came in from Germany today...... YEA!!!

I finally have all 4 of the (what I call) "VfL-Stadion Collection", which consists of the 4 shirts they wore on the pitch after being promoted to top flight Bundesliga, specifically the 1997-98 (green/white), 1998-99 (green/black), 1999-2000 (white/green/black), and 2000-02 season jerseys (green/white), and all are from Puma, and all are size XL.

I will have a pic to post up here later in the week.

You will, the mullet will be on! :)

BTW, does anyone know any sites (including VfL's own site) where I can get the new limited Wolfsburg Volkswagen up! trikot/jersey at, I can't even seem to find it even on eBay, but I am looking to put together a display all related to Der Grun-Weiss VfL", which also includes my replica Meisterschale, as well as some 2010-11 and 2011-12 merch and gear, in which I look to include the up! jersey in. I can always wear the VW Wolfsburg home jersey (also in green) but I need something on my wall I can proudly dedicate to my now-2-season-old fandom of VfL.

Or, should it pay tribute to that magical run Wolfsburg had when they won their only league title in the 2008-09 season? I did find a link to a site that has the 08-09 jersey but which one should I get,

    the VW Polo version:

    http://www.trikotdiscount.com/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=2338

or, the "Ein Herz Fuer Kinder" charity jersey, also in green:

    http://www.trikotdiscount.com/shop/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=1873

Either way, I will spend the extra dough and get one with Edin Dzeko and his #9 and the Bundesliga patch on it.

Other championship- and 08-09-related gear will soon follow.

Thanks/Danke for the correction Alex. As a rabid VfL Wolfsburg supporter who also wants to learn to speak and hear German in more than just watching the matches and listening to RAMMS+EIN and Megaherz, I will work on it, as for the use of the German character for the "ss" and also for a vowel such as "ae"/"ie"/"oe"/"ue". I found out I DO have that ability for those on my Microsoft Word 2003 and I will use those when I am referring to a German word or name so I can do it properly rather than mess it up.

I think what he meant was more the use of the "e" after grün-weiß, to make it gramatically correct. Anyway, to bring this thread back on track...

I like this shirt way more than their eye examination kits this year!

Thanks 4 the Heads (or should I say Horns) up on that one, I'll have a newer pic both of myself as well as with ALL FOUR jerseys/trikots from my newly-completed "VfL Stadion Collection" of Wolfsburg home shirts from circa-1997-2002 in the background (I most recently got the 1999-2000 shirt in White just a few weeks ago), starting with the match this Saturday morning at 9:30 am ET/6:30 am PT as we host Nuremberg and yes, I will be giving the "Horns Up" to go with my mullet! :) and if you're lucky enough, maybe I'll also have my morning Matchday breakfast (of decaf, some brats from my George Foreman Grill, and bagels from Metro Bagels) in there as well, so you guys will know how I support Der Grun-Weisse VfL every match during the season.

Speaking of trikots, for those of you who are waiting for the limited Wolfsburg "up!" shirts to go on sale, I have sad news for all of you fellow supporters, they are a limited run and only for promo purposes and will not be available for sale, in neither the WoelfeShop on the VfL site or anywhere else for that matter, so there for we would have to go with the ones donning the VW logo on them, and they look sweet enough for any Wolfsburg supporter, including myself.

This season's home green shirt will finish my getting 6 Wolfsburg jerseys/trikots, including last year's 3rd shirt (the blue one) and the afore-mentioned "VfL Stadion Collection" of 1997-2002 home shirts. :)

GO WOLVES!!! GO VOLKSWAGEN!!! GO FELIX MAGATH!!!

I will be watching the match LIVE online, with my Matchday breakfast of decaf, grilled brats and warmed up bagels, as well as wearing my blue VfL jersey from 2010-11 in which I picked up during this past off-season.

Also, get some shots of that ever-awesome throng of 25,000 standing in the Sudtribune, it is an awesome site indeed. I've watched matches from Signal Iduna online here at home as well as seen tons of YouTube shots of it and that originated from it.

As for getting the BVB kits, better get 'em fast, as their are about 80,000 strong on hand who also want to get their hot hands on them too.

Once you get home after that awesome weekend, post some shots of yourself in those trikots. We'll all then take a vote on which one from this season's collection is the best of them (all of them would be pretty much the obvious choice of any Borussia Dortmund supporter) :) including fellow BS members and BVB loyalists like Cris 09 and footyfan.

Always a classy look, and adding Mercedes-Benz just makes it even more so.

Looks like Adidas went all out on this design. I think I first saw this design in 1979.
