Revs actually signed someone else? I am shocked. Anyone heard of this guy?

    Looks like this is him:

    Wow... pigs are flying lol

Suddenly we have way too many forwards. Gotta think Dube is going to be let go. I still think the problem is at outside half, not forward.

Getting by that... what a steal...and out of contract player ... not like he has ANY OPTIONS

I'm not writing this guy off because I know nothing about him. He turns 30 at the end of the month so it looks to be another band-aid signing. This years Ilija Stolica.

According to his wikipedia page he started off as a striker but hasn't played up top in years. The title of this thread should probably be changed.

In 2011 with Iraklis: 8 appearances, 0 goals.
    2009-10 with Nantes: 35 appearances, 2 goals.
2001-09 with AS Nancy: 173 appearances, 17 goals.

    Turns 30 this month.

This is the most Revs signing EVER.

All of the articles are listing him as a striker but it sounds like he's played on the wing for most of his career. It will be interesting to see where he fits in.

Obviously he was out of contract, as we couldn't have signed him otherwise since the window is closed.

Another striker ... talk about finally realizing there's a problem and then just going out and getting as many bodies as possible to fix it. Interesting.

Welcome Monsef, here's hoping you can score here.

At this point, signings should be for the future, unless there's some big push to win 6 games this season.

Will he develop an adductor strain walking down the ramp to get on the airplane?:D

My hat goes off to Burns/Nicol for actually signing someone. I freely admit I never thought it would happen.

When does he arrive, when is he eligible, etc.?

Hmmmm, watched one of the videos. It ends with him in a hospital bed and a bandaged knee...

They found a guy who most likely has never heard of the New England Revolution and therefore does not know how poorly we handle our players. He will soon find out.

30 is not Past it for most players, If he sticks the Revs should be able to get 1 to 2 more peak years out of him in addition to this season.

I like that we can play on the wing and forward two of our biggest needs. The fact that he as 12 caps for the Moroccan National team suggests he as pretty good ball control and passing, something we are also in great need of.

This guy got cut from a Ligue 2 side recently. Heres to hoping he plays on the right wing and sucks a bit less than Boggs.

Agree 100%: Glad for the signing... any help is welcome at this point, but I can't help but feel that this guy is another impulse buy from the bargain bin.

With an offense that can't score and a defense that can't hold it together it's hard to find something optimistic to hang my hat on.

    Our new paradigm ...

    1. Sign as many no name, almost dones as we can.

    2. Give the rabble the impression you're taking ... 'action'.

    3. After a game or two, realize the player is gassed and send them down the retirement chute.

Thanks Mike. Thanks Steve. Bang up job.

That's actually not what it says at all.

From what I remember in his Ligue 1 time, he played mostly as a winger or supporting striker.

Not enough time for him to make a difference this season.

And if he's still around next season, that most likely means Nicol is, too, which would be a disaster.

Wish him the best, but he's got no idea of the mess he's getting into.
