The link says levante have reached in principal an agreement with El Zhar, since he left liverpool on a free transfer (the club terminated his contract on mutual consent), and that he will sign a 2 year contract with levante.

Degen's contract expires at the end of the season, Poulsen wants out, and I still see Cole going to QPR especially now that Fernandes is majority owner.
Poulson wants out? news to me, but if true, makes me believe in Fowler again. Cole is a tricky one. We will likely eat part of the wages to get him out but just need to find a true buyer. QPR would work well, London based. Can't see too many other teams interested. Fulham and Bolton are unlikely, maybe Spurs with a last gasp ol 'Arry lowball offer.
Sky Sports' last Poulsen story had quoted him saying that he wants to leave Anfield for a chance at first team football. However there were different stories about him wanting to stay a bit earlier on. I still think he'd prefer a move though, he won't even make the bench 95% of the time this season.
This is what he said a month ago. It seems that there are a few fringe players who havent been told directly about the clubs plans for them, Insua too seems not to know what his future is going to be as well. I'd imagine Cole, Soto and a few others have also had no clarification one way or the other.
It was an automatic extension written into his contract if he played a certain amount of games over the 2 previous seasons.
Cole will leave for QPR as has been said. Fernandes will want to show he can be splashy, and Cole going to London only makes sense. Poulsen wants to continue with the Danish nat'l team, and the only way he does that is to play games. He'll be off to Kobhavn for free, and Mr Henry will have no problem getting those wages off the bill without a fee coming in. The only person that would really remain that could be deemed useless is Degen. Fabio could be called that since he'll end up injured 3/4 of the season. why did we sign him on a 2 yr deal instead of 1?

Raul meireles I heard there is rumor that Meireles might be sold. Is this a money thing to reduce payroll or looking to sign a new player?? I think it would be a huge mistake. They seem to have a great squad as it is. Defense is still a little weak but I think that has more to do with style than actual ability. I think they have a top 4 squad as things stand now as long as they finish games. Letting Sunderland back in last week is something that shouldn't have happened and there is the caveat that I think the league is wide open. Anyhow, I'd love to know about Meireles as my quick web search didn't really rturn anything. Thanks
