thought he did decently yesterday... i'd like to see him attack more, as that is his forte... downing, lucas and he had some nice series of one touch passing and i hoped we would have seen all over the pitch... on that subject, all we hear about is how he is good going forward but how poor he is defensively... i, myself, remember watching him a few times the season before newcastle went down and he looked awful... he was getting torched constantly... but, his stats from last year are pretty impressive... i saw that he only got beat nine times, whereas the other top LBs were in the thirties... that said, i'm excited to see how he plays for us and i'm looking forward to having a prem-experienced LB with pace to spare... he's a pretty big lad, too...
the year NUFC went down I was thinking we should sign Enrique and Carroll for cheap and look how it ended up eh. I thought Enrique looked good that year, it was Coloccini who looked weak to me though has looked much better since then. He was a classic case of needing a season to adjust the the league.
