We haven't won a home game since 5/14. Three freaking months ... But like Burns said ... "We're trying!" Really at this point, I have nothing else to say.
3 months? That really is pitiful if you think about it. Which begs the question, Why hasn't the ownership stepped in? answer: They could give a rats ass. around this time give or take a few weeks Kraft gave the OK to spend money and bring in players. Basically giving Burns a blank check. Dude can't even get players to come here! Fire his ass now and send BB and Nicol with him
Houston are sitting almost half a Point Per Game better than us, scoring more goals and letting in fewer. This is a pre-season game, we should use it to evaluate talent moving forward. (It only sucks that the 'season' this is a pre-season game for starts next March)
I'm expecting a reprise of the Columbus match, with a relatively open game generating chances for both sides, followed by an ultimate Houston victory.
I finally found something to be excited for on Wednesday. It's going to be a gorgeous day for that 6k or so that show up. So yeah, at least we have that going for us.
As of today, Houston's winless on the road this season. Will have to see if they still are as of Wednesday night.
Play a 4-4-2 for the love of God! [LINEUP-4-4-2]Caraglio, Mansally, Tierney, Feilhaber, Joseph, Schilawski, Boggs, Soares, Barnes, Alston, Reis[/LINEUP-4-4-2] Boggs is actually a decent fullback from what I've seen, if for no other reason that he hustles and it keeps him out of the attack. With Nyassi, Lekic, and Coria all likely injured, and with no depth (hey, isn't that what a transfer window is for?) we've got to throw players around. Tierney is too slow to play in the back and Schilawski has actually done well out wide in the terrible 4-3-3/4-5-1. We need to stop playing DMs and just have Shalrie and Benny as flat-CMs.
Lol, thanks for that. He's been so useless this year. He's now our fourth choice center back behind a rookie, and a 22 year old from the Argentine second division.
My image of him this year is him standing there with his head turned towards his own net, watching the ball go in.
He's been a terrible signing since the day he got here in my opinion. You'd think a legendary central defender like Nicol if anyone could ressurect his career but he's even beyond Stevie's help. All the stuff with his 'stache was a cute marketing ploy by the club to mask his lack of skills and presence on the field. Ryan Cochrane was another poor decision by the FO.
I actually think that the first few games of the season he played well. After about game 6 or 7 he sent south.
Coincidentally around the same time this season went south...impeding Coria's development by placing MLS veteran Cochrane ahead of him on the depth chart for a while probably cost the team a good 6 points or so.

Does anyone else think , for a second, when they see "Rajko Lekic - great toe fracture," that the word "great" is the descriptor of the fracture rather than the toe? I just momentarily think of a swarm of doctors standing around the X-ray illuminator, saying "Jesus, that's a GREAT fracture" Good thing I'm not a doctor. Whenever people say "I want to become a doctor to save lives," I always reply "That's funny, I save lives by NOT becoming a doctor"
HAHA..good one. And yea, definitely! I can't make the game..still recuperating from a doctor stabbing me..LOL So totally wish the Protest hadn't died at the Philly game...Complacency wins and that's sad!
Will we ever not have 1-2 at least, knee, or "thigh" injuries that seem to last for weeks upon weeks? christ.
