I dunno about some of you but Beasley is DEFINATELY NOT on my favorite player list.

My favorite players in MLS are Ronnie O'Brien, Landon Donovan, John Spencer, anyone that scores off of LA and Chi, and all of the Revolution.

Not exactly appropriate for the Revs forum, but why not.

Favorites from the past: Alejandro Farias, Walter Zenga, Roberto Donadoni, Paul Caliguiri, Harkes, Waldo.

Current Favorites: Jaime Moreno, John Spencer, Chris Henderson, Jason Kreis, Jovan Kirovski, Eddie Pope.

    All-time favorite: Joe-Max Moore

    Most Hated Player: Carlos Ruiz

But the best player in the league is clearly Landon.

My fav player was edwin gorter, definately a class act when he was here. Spencer is fun to watch. Right now Shalrie and Cancela are up there and twellman inside the box is always exciting to watch. Around the league Ekland, ronnie o'brien and Kries are my favorite to watch

Shalrie Joseph, no doubt... upside potential definitely equates.

The turnaround in the style and value in Jim Curtin's play is also an important distinction in my mind.

One comment about Ruiz: I used to despise him, but I've changed my mind. For one thing, I saw him on the Mexican soccer program that airs on Sunday at noontime, and was impressed by his personality -- quiet, not arrogant. And I like the way he gives back to defenders what defenders give to forwards around the league.

His goal in the second game this season, against DC, when we wiggled free to make the slightest opening at the top of the box, and hit the ball past Rimando without any chance to take a powerful swing, was my candidate for goal of the week.

Let's face it, the guy is quick, fast, tough, and strong, and he will do whatever it takes to score goals. The Revs would take him in a minute. I like Twellman a lot, but Ruiz is the one forward in MLS that I would take over Twellman.

    Your friend,

    JR

Except that most of the time, he needs to foul his marker to score (we saw this on the season opener), falls really easily in the box (4 out 8 PK attemps the galaxy got last year was because of him getting fouled rather easiely), and his goals counts even he is offside (last year's OT game winner against the Revs), etc.

    I certainly wouldn't...

Maybe if Califf and Ruiz over Twellman and Kante... ;)

How about a poll? Whom would you rather have as striker for the Revs? Ruiz or Twellman?
