For anyone complaining about the needed 'bite' in the midfield.... Frimpong looks to have that.

 

if he can have a Wilshere-esque season, then he's exactly what we need and there's no reason to buy a DM like I wanted...and I'm sure quite a few others wanted as well.

 

He's a still too raw IMO and with the ACN this winter we need cover when Song is gone. Don't know if he's the answer yet.

 

If we got someone like Hummels in at CB we could move Vermaelen into DM during the ACN.

But I've heard Squillacci's & Djourou's names mentioned in not so flattering terms.

feels familiar, but Squillacci hopefully doesnt see much of the pitch this season. I expect Djourou to be better than he has been today, but our defense must be better before the league begins. Last year we were undone like this, lets not have it happen again.

Yup... Djourou/Squillaci is a disster. I don't rate Djourou at all. I really hope we dont see him much this year.
