Boston had to make a late run last year (the philly end of season implosion did not hurt either) and SB is capable of playing big with the talent in their MF... add HAO back to the team and they are contenders with anyone... the gap between 2 and 3 is huge... the gap from 3-5 is 2 points - a couple of ties or loses can turn a team from 3 to 5 quickly

when MJ ran their Nationals, they were 3-1. Obviously, we know his little formation doesn't work against WNY, but with his full squad, I see them playing at that same level before they left. With full squads, they are equal to WNY.

Now, maybe Abby and Rampone can run the team. Maybe now his players are tired of the nonsense he'll step to the side a bit. That happens they are clearly 1-2 with WNY, and should finish strong.

But as I said, Philly with A-Rod and Kai up top in a one game playoff could send mJ or WNY home.

    ------------------------------------

    - Speaking of magicJack, star forward Abby Wambach will serve as team player-coach, according to the Palm Beach Post. And Borislow said that goalkeeper Hope Solo will be in Florida on Wednesday for magicJack’s home game against Sky Blue FC. Whether or not she is healthy enough to play is another question.

    - And as Beau Dure exposes, players from magicJack have filed a grievance against Borislow. It seems that regardless of the outcome, this story is going to grow.

Hey MagicJack fans, not meaning to troll here, but thought you might be interested in an interview I did with Ella Masar this week at my station in Champaign, IL (she's a native of the area and a U of Illinois grad). She didn't get into many specifics on her absence from the team other than to say she was injured. As you saw, she was back with them on Wednesday. The interview is toward the end of this podcast at about the 25:00 mark.

we see how this plays out... you are putting a bit too much stock in the national team players

Now there is tape on this team, and the field is wider so they won't be catching any teams unprepared

didn't the core of his team just play in the WC and help the USA to the finals? Did I miss something? i'm guessing they were playing on U13/14 fields in Germany. So you are saying Boxx, Rapinoe, Rampone, Abby, Loyden, Schmidt, Solo, devanna (intl), and Sauer aren't upgrades from his reserves in which several, masar (4), press (5), Tina (not bad marketing when she had too) and Dalmy, have played well even with no coaching? Basically, none of them can play on a regulation WPS field but they can succeed in front of the world on a WC regulation field? interesting.

That's a pretty damn good team. Looks equal to WNY when you compare the 1st 14 or so on each roster.

The only question is, will he give Abby and Rampone the space to fix his mess since players filed grievances against him?

Abby gets the work rate up to par with the league, and Rampone is a proven championship coach.

As usual, this falls right back to the fool owner.

like i have said, i think i'm the only magicjack fan on this board.

Uh, did you watch any of the WWC games? Because if you had you would know that the games were played on Bundesliga fields.

So much name-calling and unnecessary condescending responses, not to mention the poor spelling.

There we go. Either that or Big Brother: Boca Raton. The entire team, staff, and Borislow all in the same house - or condo high-rise, at least.

No What I was saying is NO one had a chance to evaluate them because he did not provide tape of the team...and were FORCED to make their fioeld wider to meet regs.

they had an unfair advantage earlier in the season that is now gone. having not seen the games squeeking out a one goal goal win is not convincing that they can beat anyone other than Atlanta.

Do you acknowledge that the advantages they had before the WWC are now gone ?

This article mentions "a disagreement" between Briana Scurry and the magicJack ownership. (On a side note, it's a surprisingly in-depth article for a tabloid newspaper.)

I've heard all these arguments before but it seems to me the broad-brush solution reeks of affirmative action and I've been burned by that flame many times, from the entitled attitudes of the families and the something for nothing expectations of the kids. No thanks, and coming from Brianna Scurry, it's a bunch of BS anyways.

5 pages and nothing about why Magicdan dropped her?

OK, this is why Press (what's her racial makeup anyway?) didn't get a spot on the national team because she isn't Nordic like Pia. :D

Go MagicDan, Fighting for that Playoff Spot!

Make sure you vote for the correct Rookie of the Year!

"Already one of the most decorated players in women’s soccer, Christen Press now has a special place in history. When the Stanford senior forward was presented with the Hermann Trophy Friday by the Missouri Athletic Club, she became the first woman of African-American descent to take home college soccer’s version of the Heisman Trophy."
