Wow... 4 kicks, three missed. Only one was actually saved.

I'm actually laughing right now. Some of those run ups were comical.

Not to mention he couldn't instill any discipline or will to win in the side.

Let me make myself clear. After watching the rest of the tournament. I think obviously Mano can take some blame. However the players also need to take some blame.

Is this the first time neither Brasil nor Argentina have made the semis???

Given how the quarters have turned out my bet is on Venezuela to beat Chile :D

because Neymar was rubbish. He has been throughout the copa.

I mean, how else would Paraguay make theres? Its not like they transformed the pitch every time a Brazilan player stepped up.

Sad ...the best game we've played all tournament. Paraguay didn't do shit in the whole game. Completely undeserved but we should have finished the game when we had the chance.

Umm, duh. Saying bye Mano does not absolve players, especially if the person saying "Bye Mano" might want a coach that demands more of his players or won't call them up at all.

Certainly some of the players have the blame. But, who was responsible for bringing Andre Santos, Elano, a struggling Ramires, Fred, while we had better options available that weren't called up.

I understand your frustration, but this is seriously an unjust conclusion to make. We undeniably should have won this game by at least 3 or 4 - 0. Even Paraguayan supports can't argue this, but this sport is what it is because of the unpredictability factor.

How many chances did we have at goal? A million. How many chances did Paraguay have? Anyone? ...anyone? This sport can be cruel, but on this day, we played very well. Luck just wasn't with us.

    hmmm....

I guess that wouldn't have made any difference in the PK shootout then.

they aimed square in the center, and Julio Cesar went wide.

the brazilians tried to beat the keeper and couldn't even shoot on target.

I knew this was coming, the current squad are weak as f***. They threw all there punches in the 90 minutes & that is all they had, they had nothing left. Played there best game of the tournament and couldn't break them down, sign of a really horrible team.

Sorry but Neymar, Ganso, Pato, Robinho, Ramires, Lucas....all should be out of the team, there is a reason why they didnt play in the world cup.

Not Mano's fault that 4 guys step up and miss PKs. Blame is on the players. Neymar is not a good PK taker anyways. Pato was low on confidence ... so who knows. Elano and Fred should have plenty of quality to bury them without problems.

I have a feeling somebody instructed them to the ball hard and high because of the slow pitch.

lets talk truth's. This team just isn't anything special, just a run of the mill team now. We lack a bonafine superstar who can take over a game, we lack cohesion, and we have a couple knuckleheads on defense.

Are you forgetting the first 2 games in this tournament as well as all or friendlies? I mean do we really need Robinho AND Neymar AND Pato starting?

 Likewise, you shouldn't be allowed to spout factually incorrect nonsense. Robinho was actually amazing in this game (and coming from me, that's saying a lot considering how much I dislike him). Please try to actually watch the game next time.

There is a real chance now to install European manager team with quality players like Luiz Gustavo for the volante position.
