I don't think the meeting was all that bad because I didn't have high expectations. I didn't think anything beyond a bitch fest was going to occur. I honestly felt bad for BB and Cathal as I think they genuinely care about cultivating supporters culture but at the same time they have to keep the organization in the black. There is no doubt in my mind they would want a stadium more like The Fort than The Morgue but in many ways their hands are tied. The location is awful and the stadium is awful and they can't really do anything about that beyond minor cosmetic changes.

Good recap. Unless anyone is going to come forward and suggest that this description on the events isn't accurate, I say the meeting has changed nothing. Nothing new or better has come out of this meeting, and some serious action needs to be taken during the Philly game to openly tout our displeasure.

I hope that you left out the word "not" from the bolded statement.

Sounds like same old same old.

Given the FO focus on FAIL (foul, abusive, or insulting language), was the issue of swearing in Spanish and other languages raised?

Kyle McCarthy tweeted that he was in attendance...it will be interesting to see his take of the event.

I mostly agree except for the bolded part.

The team doesn't care about making money. They're biding their time right now and don't really care what happens until they sell the team or move them to a profitable location. Otherwise, all money they spend is really just showing no return.

No, that was probably the biggest disappointment I had since I hadn't gone in expecting much either. I had hoped that officer wouldn't get to work that detail anymore, but we'll see him around.

    So was FDA, but I don't believe he'll be doing a write-up.

Thanks for the recap--a perfect bookend for a day when we wake up and find the Revs dead last in the East, and reports of Seattle willing to pay a transfer fee for Djibril Cisse while we aren't (regardless of whether he comes to MLS or not).

Only a shellacking at RSL could add any more salt to the wound.

By the way--I'm one of the "other 5K" STHs Bilello tried to hold up as an example of the people he claims to be speaking for and I couldn't be more onboard with supporting the Fort, as is anyone who regularly attends games.

Why would regular, long-time STHs just start complaining now for TeamOps to come save them? They wouldn't.

The "offended" people are the ones who get tickets shoved on them by a business and have rarely if ever been to a soccer game. This decsribes fully 20-30% of the midfield, as I'm seeing new faces almost every game in the same seats around me.

And often those seats are empty, too--the companies can't give the tickets away.

Thus, Bilello's business model of sacrificing the 485 based on the supposed needs of the 5K is enormously flawed. He doesn't speak for me and probably not for most of the private, individual STHs.

He needs to focus on PAYING, repeat, long-term, individual customers, not people getting one-off freebies from their cousin's law office or whatever.

Not to mention that most of what these one-time visitors complain about is how bad the team on the field is--and then they never come back.

Jeff Lemieux sure. But Kyle McCarthy is independent in his analysis. I think you're being totally unfair.

You think he'll still have access to the team if he's critical? I don't.

not to be that total jerk like I can be at times and PLEASE I'm not bashing against you...But, other than this team being based in Boston and we've been blessed to attend the PRO Game here in this area...has this ENTIRE ORGANIZATION been FAIR to ALL FANS??

Has Kraft ever made any of you feel really GIDDY about the REVS?

Has KRAFT EVER said ANYTHING as it relates to the REVS that made you feel happy??

HAS KRAFT EVER DONE ANYTHING AT ALL THAT HAS MADE YOU HAPPY??? I'm sure fans of the mfl(the Muther F...oh wait) the nfl..will have NUMEROUS instances where the Jibber Jabber that spewed forth from the pie opening of Bob made you smile from ear to ear!!

But, in our MARKET for 16 YEARS I cannot think of ONE instance where his rational and innovative banter about the Revs, MLS and SOCCER in general gave me even the slightest fuzzy!!

AND THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE OF THE SO-CALLED MAINSTREAM SOCCER WRITERS WHO HAVE BEEN SPINELESS AND COWARDLY IN THEIR WRITINGS ABOUT KING BOB and the REVS!!! <--def gonna twitter that one out to GOFF, IVES, FDA, KMC, CARLISLE and anyone else that CALLS themselves a Purist SOCCER WRITER...PPPPPPFFFTTTTTTTT!!!!!!

That English guy in charge of TeamOps sounds like delusional psychopath living out some Defender of Imminent Hool Invasion fantasies.

If it wasn't sad it would be funny.

I did not attend. Felt it would be a waste of time. Frankly from the tdif account, i'm somewhat pleased. Sounds like they acknowledged they did not handle it well. Imho; that is pretty big. The question is what happens going forward? We stop they yea chant, will their heavy handed horse crap change?
I'm still not sure I'm coming back. ManU(re) will be my last game (since I spent the $ ) for a while. I'm just sick of the lipservice they pay to the fans. I don't mind a bad team. Bad ownership, I can't stand. I don't blame the fo anymore. The problem arentop down ownership issues.

Trust me that I'm avoiding all possible hyperbole here, but I'm voting for this as post of the year (there really needs to be that award in this forum). Someone please spred rep. Dan, as usual, speaks the truth about this pathetic ownership. For all the crap we get from people on these boards about beating a dead horse...well...16 years of Kraft will do that.

It's time to go, Bob. You are a pathetic owner.

FWIW, when I had media credentials, I felt like RevsNet was perhaps the most critical media outlet covering the team, and I never felt like we were singled out and denied access because of it.

There are lots of valid criticisms of the organization. I don't think this is one of them.

That's because their criticisms were softball at best. No media outlet that covers this team has ever told the complete and true story.

will interesting to see how the "pub crawl and trolley transport to and from the stadium" for the philly game will play into any proposed protest actions from the supporters.

I do know one thing... I always assocaite pre-game pub crawls with fans that don't use curse words, get ejected, get PC'd, behave inappropriately.
