Ridiculous that Bornstein can wear a USA shirt. How does a guy who can't get any minutes at his club even make the 23?! Plus he plays a CDM in mexico.

Bornstein doesn't deserve to put that US jersey on ever again. He was atrocious. I bet he's starting to regret making a twitter right about now.

there's a guy whose played every position on the backline and midfield and held down a job in england for like 7 flipping years that should've come on but anybody who has followed the USMNT over Bob bradley's tenure knows John bornstein is his little buddy, always has been , always will be.

BB has played favorites and it's been to the detriment of the USMNT.

I don't think we need a thread to bash Borstein we already knew that he was not good enough for the nation team anymore, blame the guy who called him to the team.

In light of this, BB's new starting lineup

Dolo - Goodson - Boca - Traffic Cone

Bradley - Cardboard cutout of MB

    Donovan - Bornstein - Sacha - Dempsey

    Agudelo

Ooops perhaps I made an error and Bob will find a way to start Bornstein at striker!

Look, Bornstein, who was a fault the second goal for sure, was not the reason we lost.

Although we were up 2-0, El Tri created numerous chances early (the failed offside trap, Hernandez' chip/flick off the post, Guardado's shot). And they kept creating them.

Fact is, Mexico has more quality, and a higher quality, of attacking player than we do. Nor do we have a really elite defender outside of Dolo.

We missed Dolo, Chandler, and Holden tonight. But we simply do not have the attacking talent to match Hernandez, Dos Santos, Guradado, and Barerra.

El Tri are the better team. There was simply nothing Bob, Bornstien, or any other single player could do.

Its easy to forget that despite his fall from grace at Barca (which was almost entirely his agent's fault), Gio is a very talented player, I'm not in the least bit surprised that he made Bornstein look like a sack of crap.

Bornstein has never needed Barca players to look like a sack of crap.

He belongs to Tottenham but, they sent him on loan!! Maybe next season he will be considered good enough to make the bench

That ball in from Gio was incredible. Killer finish and the dagger. I don't think Bornstein deserves this much criticism. He didn't do all that bad. The defense in general took a hit without Cherundolo. I think Bornstein should play left half. He's better at going forward than he is defending. He opened up Mexico on the flank a few times. And he has the pace we need there.

Don't forget he couldn't find the field at Spurs either. Guy's a chump.

He fits the Mexican style, not so much the English one.

You are confusing him with his brother... His brother Jonathan is the one on Barcelona B.

He was consistently beat. He lost his mark that led to the first two Mexico goals. Constantly caught up field and couldn't get back into position. He was easily the worst player on the field and everything collapsed the minute he stepped on. He was terrible. As usual.
