As far as I know Guido is american born to mexican parents. I think Packwood is Boston born to an English father and an american mother.
Terrence Boyd Stuart Holden Sammy Ochoa Eugene Starikov David Yelldell How far into the future are you looking?
Germany, but lived there just until he was 4. http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/players-to-watch/players-to-watch-archives/nid-19911
Does someone know whether his mother is German? Pelosi is in my FB friend list since his Gladbach trials and his mother has a German-sounding first name (Birgit) and writes in German to him.
Starikov is consistently getting time in the RPL... He seems like a poor mans Dirk Kuyt and he might be a guy that could play alone up top. Definitely has a future as the RPL>>>>>>MLS....
I don't see it. He's an okay player on a mid table team, that was horrible last year. Always glad to be wrong though.
I would suggest you are wrong as a mid-table team in RPL is superior to the LA Galaxy who top MLS, for example. Or maybe I am just wishfully thinking as Canada has a 19 year old just debuted in RPL after signing on their u18 team 4 months ago. Also on a mid-table RPL team.
They are mid table this year, but I think they are Punching above their weight at that position. They are general a relegation candidate every year. What team is your Canuck on?
I don't think he ever played in a youth tournament for Colombia. I think he has only played in a couple of friendlies for them.
That is right as far as I know, and he will be eligible before the World Cup for a transfer. I've quietly thought about that for years and get excited every time Columbia snubs him.
From MLS, there are several foreign-born players who grew up in the US who could become eligible to play for the US and be good enough to do so. Stefan Frei (Switzerland) Macoumba Kandji (Senegal) Ruben Luna (Mexico) Danny Mwanga (Congo) Tony Tchani (Cameroon) Rodney Wallace (Costa Rica) And... till he is cap-tied to Honduras, I'm not gonna rule out Andy Najar.
Yup. And Ruben Luna is in the same situation. He's been called up by Mexico's U20's in the past, but was never played for them. He scored his first MLS goal this past week. It was indeed a sitter, but maybe it'll give him a boost of confidence. I should also mention that FCD's Richard Sanchez is a US citizen. So even though he's currently Mexico's starter in goal at the U17 World Cup..........he's still eligible for a one-time switch.
Has Montero gotten his green card yet? I thought I remember reading something that he and Zakuani got their green cards at the beginning of this season. TBH tho im kinda surprised he hasnt left the MLS yet despite playing poorly this year
