So a $10 STH winds up actually being $12.80 after you plug the STH code in. Then thee fees, if you choose to have this printed it winds up costing over $18.

I understand that TM fees are a reality but this is a joke and the base advertised price advertised is NOT correct, it is NOT what it is listed as in the press releases.

They have said nothing about being able to walk up and buy tickets are the more expensive non-STH price. This has gone beyond the comical, and the negligent and is now just pathetic.

Oh and the base price for the $15 tickets is $19.40 before fees .... and you thought Jack Warner was crooked. $25.

FO person: I am being beyond kind. There is so much more to ticketing this season that I am not saying so cut the trite crap and fix this shit.

and the "$10" STH tickets are $12.80 with fees, BEFORE Ticket Master's fees...

That is really disappointing, I was looking forward to the cheaper tickets to take my daughter and mom to the game to expose them for the first time. I was hoping with a $10 ticket that if we could not stay the whole game that I would be willing to eat that cost, but now I am not to sure. With my daughter being almost five, don't know if she could make it through a whole game. Would be nice if the sold $10 tickets at the stadium the day of the game instead of through ticketmaster.

You guys are seriously bitching at the FO for TM fees? Damn people, I mean... damn.

I mean, sure, I think the fees are absurd, but my rage has been, is and will continue to be against TicketMaster. My only beef with the FO is for using them, but considering that there really isn't much of an alternative I can hardly blame them for using TM.

Anyway, you'll probably tell me crap like "they shouldn't have advertised it at $10 if it'd be $12.80" or something like that. Well, I'm sure this isn't the first time you've gotten tickets through TM and you really ought not be surprised that TM is going to hit you up with outrageous fees for doing almost nothing, and then charge you more for giving you the opportunity to use your own paper and ink to get your tickets.

The BASE price is $12.80 and $19.40 BEFORE the fees ... in scripting your delightful boring and sarcastic response you forgot the base facts. This is not TM, and if it is didn't anybody at SKC look at this before they sent out the press release just before the game started? I don't know what kind of world you come from but on mine when something is advertise as $10 and its clearly 25% more expensive BEFORE the fees you have to cry foul.

This has happened how many times now? And how many times have the organization blamed TicketMaster? Everytime. At some point they have to check and see that what they are flogging matches what they are selling and they just don't haven't.

Anyhow to be clear: The BASE PRE TM FEE prices are incorrect. Comprende?

Looks like, to me, that it says there "$15 + $4.40 Fees" and "$10 + $2.80 Fees" but, you know, I could be wrong....

Nope, still says that. Damn, I guess I just can't read or something.

$10 and $15 is what SKC is charging for the game. TM is charging $2.80 and $4.40 for being the illustrious and awesome TM.

If there is a manner in which you can buy tickets outside of TM, it's probably quite important that they say $10.

Oh, wait, I keep forgetting, I'm wrong. Nevermind, go along.

I asked tonight about buying tickets at the game without fees and no one seemed to know if that was possible. You can probably buy them there for the $15 but the Will Call people probably will not be able to verify that you are a STH so I am not sure you could get a $10 ticket.

I am going to call tomorrow because that is ridiculous. You should be able to buy them from the team without fees if you want too. I understand TM charges fees that are crazy but for sporting events and sometimes concert venue box offices you can buy them without fees. As a member, you should be able to do that.

Per Kyle Rogers, you can purchase tickets at Box Office 10-6 M-F or the day of the game for no fees.

Just as an aside, the Buzz Beachball concert promoted on 96.5 keep telling listeners to buy directly from LSP's box office to AVOID TM fees. They are actively saying that on the radio and via Lazlo's twitter.

Is this possible for USOC or quite frankly any other SKC game, can you just go to the LSP box office and buy a ticket and avoid the fees? If not, why not?

    Edit: Thanks Felixx

I am wondering if STH can buy more tickets at their price. I have a few co-workers interested in coming and checking out a game but dont want to drop $15 on a USOC game.

Heck, I'd be willing to pay the team $15 than pay TicketMaster $15... I suppose if you got lots of tickets in one transaction then I think the $3.10 Order Processing Charge only applies once as opposed to the $2.80 per ticket charge.

I also kinda think it's interesting - I mean, the difference between $10 and $15 is significant, particularly percentage wise, but in the scheme of things, $15 is, IMO, a small price to pay for a ticket to such event when you consider that you can sit anywhere, including seats which are $50 (or more?) for individual tickets at an MLS game.

And I appreciate that money is money, nobody wants to spend more than they have to and all that, so I don't look down at wanting to get cheaper tickets... just think that, while $5 is $5, it is also only $5... if you get what I mean.

I will be really really really really surprised if anything but the Member's stand and the East side (including concessions) are opened for this game. One thing I noticed during ST pick-up is that traffic flow on the West side is pretty seriously compromised if the Shield Club isn't open, and there's no way they're going to staff (or even secure) that for a game where the total ticket revenue may not top $50,000.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I would handle it if I was running the show.

I see where you are coming from but a casual fan has a limit they want to spend on a ticket. This isnt a league game but rather a game against an inferior opponent in which we will probably play our B team. On top of that, the atmosphere will not be as enjoyable. People have their limits as to what they want to pay for something and that is understandable. Being able to declare a limit on things is why some people have money in the bank and some people go flat broke all the time living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Good point - so not $50 per ticket, but still some very nice seats for $15.

So, when I tried buy a ticket for this game online, yeah $12.80, it was actually $15.80(I think it was that, a processing fee!!) when I got the point of paying w/ my CC. I did not purchase them. Guess I'll do it Saturday @ the stadium, even if I have to pay $15 for it, better than giving it to TM.

I wonder how we prove that we are STH at the box office to get the $10 ticket. I guess we can show our actual season ticket.

perhaps we could just explain the offside rule at the ticket window as evidence we are STHs.

Don't you know the American fan rule? "My team can do no wrong, including fouling and being offsides." I will forever be that guy that, as a neutral watching other games, will complement offsides calls, but if they are against my team? Hell no, no way, ONSIDE!
