You're right. We should ignore those nonsensical rantings.

I can't help myself. Here is Metz's ideal starting line up during this stretch also considering that Ream and Agudelo would be gone for the Gold Cup

    Chinn---Henry

    Jeremy Hall--Ubi Tchani Irving Garcia

    Borman-----Keel ---Mendes------- Sassano

    Sutton

I don't know what the Red Bulls were thinking instead we have

    -----------------Henry----Rodgers

    Lindpere- De Rosario---------Tainio--------Ballouchy

    Miller-------Keel-----------Mendes-----------Solli

    -------------------Sutton

With Portland's losing streak, our unbeaten streak, the missing and/or injured players on our roster, and the coast to coast travel involved, I think we'll either win or lose spectacularly.

I hope that Henry leads the team again, and this time shoots instead of trusting his team mates to make the simple shots. If Henry had not passed last week, we'd have won 4-1 (at least, in my fantasy world.)

Anyway, I actually don't think we'll get a tie here. I think the game will be one sided. I hope it is our side that comes to play.

Yeah, just like we are forced to rely on Irving Garcia, Conor Chinn, and Giorgi Chirgadze this year.

Which illusion? The team isn't perfect - it's old and only getting older. We took some risks on DeRo and the jury is still out - but there is no perfect scenario and this team is trying to win now. I can live with that - especially since we have probably the best/deepest team we've ever had.

I'm calling it. Solli's going to rebound from his little rough patch tomorrow and have a great game.

Sure hope so, Wallace is good attacking from the back and Alhassan is dangerous with the ball at his feet as well.

I still don't believe that this team is the all time best and if we stop and think that we have the biggest names players around and with the bigest Europe roster today (8) I have my doubts that the RBNY is one of the beast five team in the MLS and for the money they are spending that is a disgrace.....

One of my commentaries when someone here say that this team was pure "Magic" and I answer him, that he only have to come and see how many thread are open in this forum and how many post the official game thread make for game, that they was down to a third of what was drawing the Metros and even the RBNY circa 2008, 07 and 06....

We need to win games like this. It's not a matter of points, but of character. We may be able to lose this game with no impact to our seasonal outcome, but we need to start rebuilding our confidence and winning attitude. I'm very disappointed with the lack of energy I've seen in the games lately. At very least, we need to win this one for me. I don't want June to be another May, I want it to be like the second half of April!

Yep, I think this is a must win.

We are top 2 or 3. La, NY and Philly as I see it will all have a chance at champ game. I see us in it. It's a long year and we have the horses. If healthy the Cup is ours.

    Hmmmmmmm...

    1.-La with 34pts 18games

    2.-Dallas...28pts

    3.-RSL......22pts 1 game on hand

4.-PHi.......22pts wit one more win (6)

    5.-NYRB.....22pts

And because the rest of the team have been playing bad not because NYRB have playing good...That's the fact...

Right - but all we need for home throughout the playoffs is to come first in the east, which is different that winning the Supporters Shield (which I do not think will happen)

and I think RBNY is the best team in the East and should come in first if they can play to their potential and get past this really tough stretch within shouting distance of first

Anyone else see Marquez's knee look like it gave? I thought he might be done for the season - hopefully it's fine (he got back in the game).

Now, you know I'm not a hater, metz, but according to MLS rules, NYRB would be 3rd at the time of your list because of the better goal differencial.

Which would mean they were indeed third.

Which means that the post you were replying to was correct.

No matter what the rules that you apply say, no body can ignore that RSL have one game to play over us and the way they are playing the big probability is that they will win that game and if is Philly they are playing much better than us, so the probable to happen here is that they only can go up, circumstances that are not the same at the RBNY for a moment...The rules can't see ahead but we can and estimate at the same time the perspectives ahead of us that what can happen and that is a fact that no rule can fight....

Philly lost against Vancouver. Don't know why you think that makes them better than a team that tied Vancouver without many of our starters.

And RSL has had 2 wins in 11 matches since mid-April. That's not impressive to me, but I guess you have a different standard. And I certainly don't think that guarantees any points.

The probability that you make bullshit up as you go along looks pretty high.

I think having DeRo back to anchor the center will make a huge difference.
Now Richards will be back for the next game hopefully.

See, what is the logical that because Rafa is back will be a different thing, last year we make 75% 0f our points in the first half when Rafa wasn't here and this year he hasn't been a big factor in the winning games of the RBNY....
