The tickets I had earlier have been sold. However, a friend just called me and has a MS ticket that he bought for $40 for sale. If you are interested, you will need to get it in Lot F before the game. If you are interested, please PM with your phone number and name. I will let you know if you were the first and to expect a call.
Re: Sporting KC vs San Jose 6/17 7:30 p/i/p [R] Yeah I was confused based on the thread topic, thanks for clearing it up.
Re: Sporting KC vs San Jose 6/17 7:30 p/i/p [R] Ha, yea - I didn't realize this was San Jose thread until just now...
Hmm. Chris told me last night that gates were at 3:00. Maybe they found out today that our lot is open earlier.
My extra tickets have been sold now. I'm hoping to be out there by 5:00 - 5:30...depends on when the babaysitter shows up.
Any changes to the policy on grilling on Lot D ? I know we were not allowed at the opener on Thursday. Was that the case for all of the NFM lots? The security guy seemed to think the lots were "donated" by NFM and seemed to lay the blame on LSP/SKC for not getting the proper approval to grill (not sure what approval or permits, etc. are necessary - just repeating what I was told).
Not gonna get there until about 7pm, work schedules and all that. You guys are all gonna be shitfaced by the time I get there.
We're on the road now, but will probably be stopping to eat something and maybe do a quick trip through KS Sampler for some Sporting shirts. We're driving back to Wichita tonight so no drinking for us at all.
Interesting, isn't the LED ad board on the other side of the stadium? Hard to believe they accidentally set up the camera on the wrong side of the stadium, but I would have thought that they would want the ad board visible.
I'd be shocked if it were accidental. It's very likely down to the CONCACAF sponsorship agreements. I'm not 100% sure, but it seems that the configuration is exactly the same as it was in the previous two matches, and probably exactly the same as it was in the other group venues. That's probably written into the sponsorship agreements to ensure absolute consistency among venues - some venues do not have the infrastructure to do the LED boards and some do.* *EDIT - Gooch confirmed it in his liveblog..
Very nice, thanks John. Dempsey's misses tonight have collectively been so bad the term goal shaving would have crossed my mind if there were spreads in soccer. He's doing an outstanding impression of someone deliberately missing sitters.
It just got to be funny by the end of the match. The one he had at his feet a yard from the goal line that he held for a second and then lost... wow. For a team that absolutely dominated their opponent, they certainly didn't show it on the scoreboard.
That sounds familiar. Let's hope there isn't some kind of scoring curse on the stadium....we in Sporting blue don't need any help in that area.
Well, during Panama-Canada, we had someone dragged down in the exact same place Bravo was taken down with no call, so perhaps there is a curse at least there.
