Game will be on MSG+ and Galavision!

Portland has been tough at home... Is there field turf or grass? I can't remember. The good news is that the Bulls will get to rest more than usual so that hopefully will help Luke, Solli and the rest of the walking wounded. The bad news is that they will have the next 4 games on the road and 3 out 4 of them on the West Coast.

Last night's game was fun but boy did the Bulls miss many chances...as did the Revs. Hats off to Sutton and Titi. They were the MOTM!

Hopefully the new so called signing can make an impact. I hope Rooney gets a shot over Ballouchy.

This game kicks off an incredibly tough week. Portland are great at home and getting a point there would be massive. Follow that up with a short rebound and a Thursday game in Seattle and then a weekend game in Chicago. Portland and Seattle are very tough at home with the crowds, field turf, and their general home form. Ties in these games would be great and Chicago is just a terrible team. Hopefully Rodgers is fine and maybe Canada and Jamaica can see a quick exit some we could get our guys back sooner (and Mexico too but its more unlikely). I expect the same lineup as the NE game.

Ties in all 4 games would be great... or 1 win, two ties and a loss would be fine too. Anything better than that would be awesome. I hope Titi makes the trip out to Portland/Seattle... although he may not because of the turf fields.

Looks like we may have De Ro back before we have Dane back as Jamaica qualified for the quarters... Canada has looked pretty average so they may be bounced but it it is pretty easy to make the quarters if you get a win. So far they 0-0 with Guadeloupe with 1 min left to go in the 1st half.

BTW The Red Bulls reserves game vs the Revs was won by the Revs 2-0...

I think we don't need to include the SJ in the mix here because the Gold Cup will be over by then. It will be the 4th consecutive away game but we will have a week off between that game and the Chicago game before it. The 2 northwest games are the ones that worry me the most.

Well on the positive side it's looking like either Canada or US will be knocked out. I'm assuming Canada will be knocked out so we'll probably have DeRo back which will be nice especially if Rodgers won't be able to go.

[LINEUP-4-4-2]Henry, DeRo, Da Luz, Lindpere, Taino, Ballouchy(rather have rooney), Miller, Keel, Mendes, Solli, Sutton[/LINEUP-4-4-2]

When is Albright healthy? Also Solli is starting to become a problem in the defense.. I'd rather have Kassell start at RB and give Solli a start at RM.

That's not the way I think. Either way Canada, Jamaica, Mexico, and the US will all make it out of the groups hopefully from there everyone but the US sees an early exit.

    Edit:
Side note -- Anyone know what channel # Galavision is on Cablevision?

    Hi ag, hope everything's OK.

The season could hinge on this road trip, it's brutal. I hope Red Bull springs for the money to set up camp somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. No way we should be flying home after Portland to fly back to Seattle then home again and back in the air to Chicago. Once we leave for Portland we should return only after the Chicago game. Practice/training facilities will be the key. The schedule has been out for months there's been plenty of time to find a camp out there and figure out how to get everything we need in place. The hotels are the easy part.

There's no way a few games in June are gonna make or break the entire season.

Bad news on the injury front. Looks like Rodgers has plantar fasciitis, Lindpere has a swollen foot, and Tainio has a groin issue. Not good news at all.

Don't forget Ballouchy. Also we don't know how serious these problems are. For all we know all 3 might be able to start.

If Rodgers isn't able to go and DeRo ain't back then backe should just put King Henry as a lone striker up top and let him do whatever the ******** he wants to do.. Were going to be away at a hostile crowd and playing a defensive game isn't the worst idea. Perhaps we can walk away with a 1-0 win(unlikely with the way our D has been playing)

    --------Henry
    Da Luz---Lindpere--Ballouchy
    ------Taino----Robinson
    Miller--Keel--Mendes--Solli
    --------Sutton

Or we can use Solli at RM and give Kassell another start at RB(which I prefer)
    -------Henry---Hertzog
    Da Luz--Lindpere--Taino--Solli
    Miller---Keel---Mendes---Kassell
    ----------Sutton

Place Ballouchy or Robinson if Lindpere or Taino can't go, use Rooney as a sub..

Let's hope that at least Canada gets eliminated soon. Unfortunately, Jamaica has gone 3-0 and will have a good matchup although they could easily lose this Saturday in the Quarterfinals.

The only possible help here is that relatively long break until the game against Portland. Hoping that Rodgers, Tainio, Solli and Lindpere can recover. Portand has been stumbling at home. Let's hope for their recovery because I don't want to rely on Rooney and the rest. It is great that Da Luz is getting a chance and Hertzog has actually looked OK, but adding Rooney and more is really pushing it.

Getting back Richards and De Rosario for the game against Seattle would help tremendously.

Tainio's injury will go a long way with the few days straight being off. I think he's gonna play.

Lindpere is tough as nails, and always finds a way to grit out a game.

Rodgers shouldn't play though... He has plantar facitis. That is one thing you dont mess with. It can cost you an entire season and the only fix is just to stay off of it. Right now he has a mild form of it so I'd just give him a few weeks off.

So its looking like now we are going with this lineup...

    Henry - Ballouchy

Da Luz ---- Lindpere ---- Tainio ---- Solli

    Miller --- Keel ---- Mendes ----- Kassel

    Sutton

Ballouchy playing slightly withdrawn.. more playmaker role... Looks like Lindpere is going to give it a go, but if he can't the coaches were pretty impressed with Rooney's play... now of course we could always slot Ballouchy back and slip in Hertzog, but from what I understand Henry and Hertzog aren't exactly linking up too well... Its nice to befriend people in the know.. lol

If Rodgers doesn't go, I would expect Hertzog to play next to Henry, Ballouchy back at right mid and Solli at Right back. Backe also likes to keep some form of consistency if at all possible.

I am curious about your comments on Rooney. I am up or down on him, but I just haven't seen anything yet from him that has impressed me although that is with very limited playing time. I think Hertzog though has looked promising.

Despite his decent form of late, lets not forget the cataclysmic disaster that was Ballouchy at supporting striker last year. The guy is clueless with his back to goal, I'd rather have Hertzog.
