Okay, but let's criticize them over details worth being criticized over, not every little whimsical thing.

    Exactly.

Now can we please get back to discussing how Robb's flips flops didn't necessarily scream "winning attitude" the other day?

No doubt. Anyway I'm done being negative today (unless we stink up LSP tonight), ok now I'm done being negative today.

    Man, forget wardrobe.

Toronto ended the longest road trip in mls history. The FO should have had a presence with the team in that tunnel and/or locker, not the Member Club saturday.

If you deem that consideration a trivial one, much less the stupidest thing you've heard ... we can go back to debating 'true' fans, free stuff, coke/pepsi, etc.

Enjoy the game today everyone (especially Robb)! I hope you all are fortunate enough to attend.

Why? Moral support? Is the team so weak mentally that they need an owner there to hold their hand onto the field for the last road game? If I was a coach I wouldn't want one of my owners in the locker room before a game, no matter the circumstances.

Maybe he wanted to see how things went at the Members' Club for the first time, that was a pretty big event.

It was the opening of the Members Club. He should be there for that.

The team on the road needs the coach and his assistants, not the owner(s). The day the owner(s) are in the locker room the team has a problem.

Robb was in the right place at the right time.

In Liverpool it is a "Kirkby Kiss"

Second K in Kirkby is silent, the kiss is head splattering :D

Kirkby is not a place you want to live.

Hey, I get what you're saying... though you probably would've been better served to not mention footwear if it wasn't your primary concern ;)

That said, I'm of the mindset that I'd like my owners to interfere as little with the team and coaching staff as possible. Heck, I think I've seen enough of it with Chelsea and Abramovich to see how owners meddling with team affairs can be detrimental.

If an owner is going to interact with the team in such ways, I would want to have it be after a game, not before. To congratulate and express gratitude to the team for making the team 'great' (even if they do poorly, though that requires some spin).

At best I could see an owner talking before a game for silverware of some sort (MLS Cup, Open Cup, etc.) to say that they are proud of how far the team has come and believes they can go all the way, etc. Also possibly days like today, which are special for other reasons.

Otherwise I think that the team ought to get its pep talks from its coaches.

Agree. I too disdain ownership interference... no sense getting in everyones' head. Would have preferred Robb be seen-and-not-heard before and/or after the game. To me, thats his place. Most everyone disagrees. No Jerry Jones please (obviously)! If thats how I was taken, my bad.

MC will have far fewer returns if you cant put a product on the field. To me, its just a matter of biz judgement under the circumstances. Like you, I hope on-field matters are the overwhelming priority with this Club. Like you, I hope the majority of us can respectfully disagree while pulling for both Robb and the team.

Lets all go out there and pound Chicago into the dirt tonight.

Seemed like the best place to put this...anyone else have a hell of a time getting a poster last night? I was REALLY frustrated with it. Funny how every other entrance had big boxes of posters but the members entrance said they "ran out" but I never even saw the boxes! Was getting mad watching folks walk by with armfuls and having security refuse to hand me one because I wanted to go into a gate that was "closed" except for exit and sending me all over. Just a bit of fail IMO that they know how many people are in the members section yet they couldnt have any/enough at our gate. Anyhow, not that big of a deal as I got mine eventually, just a bit frustrating. Cant bitch too much about free stuff though I guess!

It is was pretty much a free for all. We left at the east gate from our seats and when we exited there was no order what so over. Boxes with the posters were open and people just took whatever they wanted. I know many people did not get any because they ran out. Thought they would have been a little more organized, hope it was better at the other gates.

Loved the stadium overall it was a home run. Wish the product on the field was better. Look forward to future games when all the opening day problems are ironed out. I cannot image how many sales they missed by the merchandise shops taking cash only, since the computers where down the whole time.

Tried to use my "members" card several time during purchases, but was told the system was not working and would not get credit for those purchases. Even had a couple staff when made a purchase, did not even know what the card was for. That will smooth out over time as well, hopefully.

Obviously there was a major screw-up with the posters... I'm not sure who's responsibility it is, but hopefully they get it sorted out by the next giveaway.

Honestly, I don't know what you would do with an armful of posters - seems excessive. I knew something was up when I left through the plaza and people were hounding me to take as many as I wanted. When I did eventually make it to the MC I found out that many people there hadn't gotten any and I directed some towards the Plaza area.

I saw people walking by with arm loads of them, was directed to the West side of the stadium where I was able to get 3 myself. Gave two out on my way back to my car to friends I saw that didn't have one.

I was to tired to really really try but there were no boxes anywhere outside the Cauldron exit I left from.

Yeah -- walking away with so many they could barely hold them. I saw one trio a guy and two chicks and the women were holding 6-7 a piece and struggling with them .... why do you need that many unless your gonna dump them on ebay.

I have one heading my way via because I asked on Twitter but sadly a lot of people are going to miss out on what seemed like a nice giveaway because nobody thought that people would behave like wild savages at Walmart on Black Friday when free stuff was on offer ... it never changes, a lot of people will always take more than they need.

Yeah it's sad that a lot of people won't get one, I actually have mine on the way to my wife's grandfather who's making a frame for it...

Hey Sporting employees, any chance we can get a poster since there was none at the East Gate left? Glad it was organized so each person got as many as they wanted.

Yeah, this right here just pissed me off to no end. How they can't have 2000 of them for the Members Stand is unbelievable to me. And they should be controlling the inventory. I left right after the Vermes presser ended and there were still several 100 in the club and no posters. And I was already pissed off because the LSP yellow shirts were trying to rush me out of the Stand ... it's not like there weren't 50 people still there getting flags/banners and such ... and I was watching the "highlights" and the Vermes interview. Anyway, still ticked off about it even now .... that along with the parking debacle from earlier (about 230 to 330).
