I really have no specific topic to even post about this evening, but the bottom line is I won't sleep. I've been thinking and dreaming about tomorrow night for the better part of seven years and I'm trying to determine what I'll dream of next. I've appreciated the respect that you all have shown to me.....I really have.

I hope you have a great time tomorrow; that's what the stadium is truly all about. I've talked about the times I used to have as a kid, hanging in wrigley field...well, that's the sort of place i want LSP to be for you.

Wow....I can't believe it. It's really happening.....Crazy hat lady and the "Save the Bannister Mall" crowd didn't stop soccer in KC. Instead of those two we have Lance Armstrong and Ochocinco at the game tomorrow.....what a difference a couple years make.

Thank you so much. I'm just a kid from Sioux Falls who played midfield in the Cookie Monster League in 1978 who now gets to do this. I'm so grateful and humbled by every post that happens around my stuff whether its complimentary of wizardscharteresque conspiracy or not.

When we bought the team, our goal was to be the finest......we're making progress...we're not there yet, but i promise, i'm not ready to sleep just yet.

god bless and have fun tomorrow.....rh

I thought Lance would be there, but hadn't seen it confirmed anywhere before this, that's awesome!

Can't wait for tomorrow night Robb, I'm sure it will be a special night for everyone involved. It's going to be strange walking into a stadium that I watched get built one webcam frame at a time :D

Thanks for all your hard work!

I could probably give you a big hug right now Robb, I feel the sentiment. You guys pulled off something that looked lost, something that looked impossible. But in a scant 19 hours or so, it'll be done, it'll be open. It may be all the inspirational movie soundtracks I've been listening to tonight, but I'm ready, I want to walk in there and feel amazed. I know it's gonna happen, I'm just so damn ready for it.

I became a fan just last year. Never really watched soccer before it, but one of the main things that kept me hooked was the ambition, innovation, and dedication of this team's ownership group. I now watch every SKC game, whether it's from my dorm room at Iowa State or my family's home in Lee's Summit. I'll be at the game tomorrow with the family, seriously cannot wait!! The 1-year turnaround of this franchise is unbelievable. Keep up the amazing work!!

You'll feel the love from thousands when you take the field before the first kick.

Almost forgot. To Sean and Jeff, thank you guys so much. When I first started tailgating out at the CAB last season, I felt lost. There were a couple of people there who were open to me and taught me their ways but the overall Cauldron was lacking. You guys stepped up when no one else would, sacrificing time, money and parts of your life just for the sake of the Cauldron and the team. From a loose group of people to a rambunctious group of many in about a year is amazing, you guys have pulled it off perfectly.

Really came to heart in Colorado, when the Pid Army guys were asking which supporter's group we were in. They didn't just get that the Cauldron is one now, yeah, there is still Hillcrest, Yardbirds, Southern Voodoo, but we truly are one now. We are one big happy family of friends. I'm glad I found you guys and anticipate the many years of fun to come.

Much love for you around these parts Robb even if it doesn't always seem like it. Your one of us and I am not alone in simply being thankful to you and all the other owners and members of the team that have made today happen.

Its amazing, and at 3:18am ... sleep isn't coming to me either.

    Thank you!! So much.

5AM and I'm still rolling. We're all gonna be running on fumes by game time, but will probably be louder than ever. This is passion.

Robb- No matter what we, or I, may bitch about around hear; there is not a second that I don't remember what you have given us. The fact that we have a team at all is a testament to the vision of you and the rest of Sporting Club.

We spent too long as bastard children to other sports in this city. You are the step dad that actually loves us even though we have plenty of teenage rebellion moments. You have made me proud to wear the Sporting Club logo. Not just the shield for the team that I love, but the logo of the ownership group. A group that believes in this city and its fans.

I know after years of writing to representatives, watch plans emerge and fall through, playing in two environments that were drastically different but equally bad, etc, etc. The feeling of having a HOME is describable. I do not know how I will make it through the day without a tear or two and I owe it all to you.

    THANK YOU

Robb, Thank you for all you do for this team. Even though we might always agree with everything, the frustration comes from the same place of wanting to have a championship caliber team. Yourself and the owners of Sporting Club have given us and the region a stadium that I cannot put into words and even gives me more pride of being a fan of this team. I cannot wait for tonight and the party to begin and have it be the start of many wins at our home. You have been able to do something, that I thought would never be able to be done in Kansas City. Keep up the great work and enjoy the night, you earned it. Thank you.

    Robb,
In 1996 when my wife and I went to the inaugural game I didn't think it could get any better than that. When Mo Johnston and Miklos Molnar combined to put us in MLS Cup 2000 I thought that was the greatest game I'd ever attended. When Mr. Hunt sat with my son and I at Arrowhead one warm August afternoon talking about soccer and the Wizards I thought it couldn't get any better. I could could go on and on; Simutemkov's goal in the 2004 Open Cup, the rebrand announcement at Power & Light. Pleae forgive my reminiscences.

Even with all of that history I don't quite know how you top today. Because of you and the ownership group building upon the foundations Mr. Hunt laid Kansas City, yes Kansas City, is the premier soccer venue in the United States and soccer is here to stay.

    Can't thank you enough.

I'm pretty sure most everyone here will agree: After tonight's win, I hope you sleep well.

Great article on Robb on the KC Star, btw. After reading that, he reminds me of me.. except with money.. and success.. and his very own soccer team. Ok we're not much alike now that I think about it... ;P

    Robb,

No matter what little things don't go quite as well as you wish tonight, ignore them and enjoy the moments that will be magical.

As the front man for all that has occurred since OnGoal took ownership, you have been passionate. Let it show again tonight in your smile and in your sincerity.

Then, tomorrow (or Monday), get to work on making things even better ;)!

Thank you, truly, for all you and your host of coworkers have done. Since 1996, Kansas City, no matter what name, has always been the home of classy soccer ownership. Be proud that you and the other co-owners have added your names to the list.

    Robb

I came up to you at the watch party last weekend to try and thank you and all I was able to say was "I am speechless, thank you" and I walked away.

I think you knew the real sentiment I was trying to express. We might bitch about parking, ticket giveaways, team names, etc....

But we are thankful that not only is the team still in Kansas City but that it has a crown jewel of a stadium to play in. It would have been easy to construct a simpler cheaper stadium and 99% of us would have been happy for that.

Instead you took it to another level, the new stadium is remarkable and I want to personally thank you, all of your staff for your dedication throughout this long journey.

    Robb and ALL OF ONGOAL,

Thank you all. It is nice to see all the passion and desire expressed by the fans reciprocated by the ownership. It is, and has been, apparent that this club is not only a business to you, but a true passion. While we all appreciate the business risks you have taken, the emotional investment you have made is what makes us believe you are one of us. Your efforts are not only being recognized in KC, but also there is a huge buzz even where I live, and nation wide. Congratulations on completing the first major step in what I am sure will be a long string of great accomplishments.

Like everyone else here...I cannot find the words to express my gratitude or excitement. It seemed, for the longest time, that this would always be just a dream for us; now we're here. To have made the journey with such an outstanding and indescribable group of people, ownership and supporter alike, makes us the luckiest club around.

Thanks to everyone for some of the best years of my life.
Now lets kick some Chicago ass!
