If you play on pretty crappy muddy pitches (like most of the ones here in the UK) then you're going to getva he'll of a lot of mud stuck to the bottom which will weigh down the boot A LOT. After my games, I used to take my boots off and bang them on the wall to get the mud off, you can really tell the difference in weight it is unbelievable.

It maybe a good idea for you to get some custom orthotics and ask them to put a heel raise in the leg which gives you problems as well as strenthening. Raising the heel but between 4-10mm I'll take stress off your Achilles. You may also want to look into ASics boots which have a 10pm heel raise in heel. Models are "lethal tigreor 3 it" , the new "lethal testimonial it".

Yeah me too, I only play on the best bitc... pitches. Sometimes turf but mostly real grass during summer.

Sorry mate but that is actually BS. If your tendons are that weak, you shouldn't play.

Strengthen them up, do specific exercises. If you cannot wear a 10oz boot, which is incredibly light anyway. Then jesus.

Does this mean you can't wear normal trainers too?

Taken from the Soccerbible interview, interesting to hear that Cole uses techniques like this.

Hi, for last 3 years i really enjoyed "Zoom Air Total Supremacy Total 90 FG" (in blue). I buy one new pair every september. I changed a lot of models back then till i find something as excellent as these. I am getting old and shoe comfort is becoming very important without loosing however stiffness. Anyway I was very very happy with them. These are getting hard to find now, so its time to move on. What new models, would feel exactly like them? I want exactly the comfort and stiffness.
    Thanx a lot in advance.

That's not funny...at all, either come here for a discussion or don't come at all, we've had enough of that other memeber (unless you're the same person) who always posted stupid google images like that spamming the whole soccer boot forum. It's not even close to being your first time making a useless comment either.

well to get back on topic. I am playing college football next year (american football) and I needed a good pair of cleats to kick in next year. Last season for my HS i kicked in Nike Classic Lites and in soccer i always wore t90s, adipures, or V.whatevers. But i bought Vapor V's the black/yellow ones because they are the only ones that wouldnt make me look like an idiot on the football field. I wanted Vapors my whole life so I went for it when I needed it most. But is there anything on the Vapor V's that I should be worried about when I am breaking them in, and how are they in comparison to Classic Lites or t90s? I know I sound like an idiot right now lol, I havent been on these boards for maybe a year or more, but I think Im gonna be back again lol.

Typical, even more so considering that I destroyed any real footing you might have thought you had in your argument.

People aren't hating you because they are "haters", they are hating you because you are a neurotic, complainer, that thinks they are afflicted with everything possible so you can have something to piss and moan about. I highly doubt that you are really injured at all, you most likely found that as your excuse for poor play, and then if you play well, you get the extra pat on the back for "playing through the pain", real "Roy of the Rovers" stuff. If you were really injured as badly as you claim, you would not be near a pitch, period. Take it from someone who tried to walk on a dislocated and broken ankle, real injuries put you down, and you can't play through them.

Your other "cry me a river" type post about "what is wrong with my legs?" is a solid indicator that you are more or less a cry baby, who is a basket case and you really have nothing wrong with you. You also fail to mention in there that you have had these "major" injuries as a potential reason for your legs failing you, which leads me to believe your "personal health situation" is something you create from one day to the next. If you are 19 and your legs are in that bad of shape, go do something else, and please, bugger off.

Honestly mod, you're supposed to keep this on topic, and yet, you're contributing to the off-topic fest.

I'm not trying to troll, I said my PERSONAL point of view and yet you try SCIENTIFICALLY say that it's "bs."

It's like saying my reason to believe in God is "bs" because your science can prove otherwise.

Like I said, in my personal experience my ankle tendons are quite weak and hurt with boots that are about 10 oz or more.

I do feel the difference between the Laser II (11.4 Oz in size 9], and I wear a size 11 so it is heavier) I am wearing and the Vapor VIs I used to wear (until they broke), and the evidence is in the pain in my ankles.

The thread I made in the player section is another issue. My calf muscles hurt for some reason in games, and not in practices. True story.

Maybe I am just injury prone like Robben lol

    Enough said.
