Hey Anna! Great report! I quoted the whole thing just in case anyone (like me) missed it when you first posted and now they don't have to go searching for it... LOL! Anyway, do you remember the times they were practicing this week? I'm taking the red eye out that way on Thursday night and want to go watch. I'm going to see this singer/songwriter I know and her band play at the Key Club in Hollywood on Friday night. I'm not sure if she's opening for them Friday, but Wed and Thur she is opening for the Bacon Brothers Band, (yes, as in Kevin Bacon) down in San Diego and in San Juan Capistrano. She's a rocker and is AWESOME. Her band rocks! Her name's Cindy Alexander. I think some of you guys would really like her. But I digress... The rest of the weekend through Monday I won't have a hell of a lot to do, so figure stalking couldn't be a better way to fill the time. Do they practice on Sundays? Now I'm thinking I should stay in a motel when I get in at 1am friday morning, instead of driving aaaaaaaaaaaalllllll the way up to Hesperia where my friend lives. That way I can watch practice that morning and then head up and get ready for the show that night. hmmmmmm.... I would think Friday they'd be practicing, no? I have a bunch of cool pix that I took with my regular camera that I still haven't scanned and put up from the last time I was out there, when you were there. I didn't have anything but my Mia Freedom jersey to sign, which she did - yay! - so I took lots of pix instead. This time, I'm taking my digital, cuz it's soooooo much easier to put them up for everyone to see. And I looooove the instant gratification factor to boot. Oh, and can you guys think of any good questions to ask them? I always get brain freeze and can never think of anything. Maybe if I prepare something... LOL! I also have to think of some cool stuff for them to autograph... hmmm... I've got sooooo much sh!t, you'd think I'd think of SOMETHING, no?? :| Norma
hey yall...I know a few of us are baseball fans in here (if not u can just ignore my post) so I created a fantasy league for us at espn.com. just like the ncaa tournament challenge, the group is named Bigsoccer and the password is also bigsoccer. i know its a long season and some of yall might be hesitant to join cuz u may think u dont have the time to update or may forget or whatever, but that doesnt really matter to me cuz i'll probably forget too. but i just thought it might be fun for me and some others of us in here to do this, so if u wanna do it, go here: http://games.espn.go.com/bbc/frontpage and join my league
I know you are. :| And I know you will be. If it's math that's stressing you out, I can help there. If it's something else, I can't guarantee that I can help, but you can call me anytime and my PM and email boxes are always open.
Yes, I noticed that. I also noticed that Donovan is interested in Jones or Christon. I think that's the first time Donovan has expressed interest in specific players. Until I read that article, I didn't know Christon was a top prospect, although she apparently led the College All-Stars in scoring in a losing effort against Team USA. Powell started in that game, BTW, and led the team in rebounding. Powell would probably be a legitimate #1 overall draft pick, and I say this putting personal feelings aside. But it's not going to happen. She has everything working for her to make her a legitimate pick, but given Taurasi's talent, hype, and rings, it's not enough.

*mimics Dickie V's "time for a T.O., baby!"* Hype? Three NCAA titles, UDub; 139-8 in her college career; 22-1 in NCAA tournament games. The Streak. The first title, yeah, she had Sue Bird and company in their farewell tour; the 2003 crown they had absolutely no business winning, since they had so many freshmen - DT carried them on her back. This time, she had some help - Turner, Moore and Strother. It's merely a matter of choosing between doing the best thing, and the *next best* thing. I would think any pro sports team would opt for the former instead of the latter. Be happy Powell will be in the top 3 (Charlotte), OK? Paul
i'm sorry, but so the f what. thats like saying unc has gone like 150 billion - 2. it's to be expected of some programs in women's sport to dominate. thats the nature of the beast until it becomes more even like men's college. taurasi had the best supporting cast in the nation. her success is more about the program than just her.
I don't know about her having the best supporting cast. They certainly disappeared on her in the elite 8 (all except Turner). We'll all see next year how important DT was to her team.
Well fine then Joseph! Online, my ass. I tried to IM you and you were "away." Ok, I'mma do my homework now. Ttyl.
lol, weren't you away too? Now that I think about it, everyone on my list was grayed out. Maybe I set my preferences wrong. Oops. I can't talk anyway...at least, not on AIM. It's too distracting, just like the KK... What up fool?
