In Guatemala there’s is a lot of talk about PSV interested in the midfielder Marcos Pappa.

His agent has been in talks with a head hunter of PSV and Guatemala’s Municipal, it seems there’s is an offer and this week there going to talk to the Chicago Fire.

We have to remember that the Chicago Fire is not the owner of Marcos Pappa, the owner is Municipal.

Should we sell Marcos Pappa? If we do is going to hurt us in the midfield, also Marcos Pappa has scored a lot this season, I say a lot cause he is not a ST.

Didn't we buy Pappa from Municipal this offseason?

Yes but Municipal is still owner of some shared, we did not buy him 100%

  4. Time to cash out on Pappa.

If Andy is willing to keep dlC on for the rest of the season to save $$$, thereby guaranteeing this year's campaign is another no playoff/trophy disaster, he might as well get rid of Pappa now, I suppose.

Not surprised that a team from Europe would be interested in Pappa.

Interesting to see how much PSV would offer.

I'd be very surprised if MLS allowed any kind of joint ownership of players. I could see an agreement whereby his old club might receive part of the fee if the player is sold on (pretty common around the world, I think), but not joint ownership.

If we get a good offer I say sell. Maybe this is why we are bringing in the Honduran on a trail?

these rumors were gonna start popping up sooner or later. Maybe this explains his dip in enthusiasm lately... hopes of playing in europe instead of a last place MLS team... can't blame him too much if true.

I'm pretty sure this is not true. He was originally on loan, but I think it had a clause for the Fire to buy his rights, which I'm pretty sure they did.

It's possible that Municipal has some "sell on" fee, so if they Fire get 5MM for him, maybe 2MM go to Municipal.

He is a good player, I think it’s going to hurt us more in the field than the benefit we will receive of money from selling him.

We don’t have a good skill player to replacement him =/

Yes, they usually work as a % of the fee (shit maybe his rep owns that % and not a Guatemala Club).

BTW does anyone remember how much the FIRE paid for him?

  20. I just looked on PSV boards and there is no mention of this rumor, I'm inclined to say it's BS

I consider myself of course a self proclaimed 'Pappa Lover' :D so I say A BIG FUCK THAT to letting him go.

That said some of the thread starters and certain posts lately (not only Pappa related) around here lately boggles the mind. I'm certain if we couled harness the brain power of those involved we might be able to toast some bread... lightly at best.

    * Oh and I'm not talking in any relation to the recent canning of CDLC. I approve of all the Hallelujah going on in that thread.

Exactly how many Marcos do they want?

Loonixxx, I think Tyrion is a Fire fan. He has "a soft spot for cripples, bastards, and broken things."

I hope he goes straight from the Gold Cup to Holland. I don't want to see him in red at toyota Park anymore.

George R. R. Martin is my all time favorite fantasy author by a country mile. I've been an orginal reader from when Game Of Thrones was released way back in 1996 (or was it 1997). I believe HBO has done a fantastic job with the series. And finally A Dance With Dragons will be here on July 12th.

All that said I can't remember if Tyrion said my quoted signature in the book but it was HILARIOUS in the TV series. Oh and Peter Dinklage is doing masterful work with Tyrion's character.:)

Agreed. I think he'd do well there as a forward in their 4-3-3 if they still play that way.
