Kind of a funny incident led to Copenhagen's first goal. No way it should've counted though, since the scorer was several yards beyond the arc by the time the PK was taken. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPmAPiwuy6c"]YouTube - Anders Bjelland (Nordsjaelland)[/ame] Also, Parkhurst went 90 again yesterday in a 1-1 draw.
I believe he was at center back the past few games but returned to the right for 90 today in a 2-1 win. The goal they allowed was off a terrible gk error. (All of this is based only on reports.)
Parkhurst will miss a month with a hamstring injury. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/american-exports-hamstring-sidelines-parkhurst
After a six week absence, Parkhurst made his return and went 90 in a 3-2 victory today over Silkeborg.
Parkhurst in the starting XI, playing in central midfield, and involved in the goal that brings Nordsjaelland level with Randers in the 50th min. Really showing some nice touch on the ball and effective distribution.
FCN could really use a win here to put distance between themselves and relegation. Do all US players gravitate to central mid?
2-1 final. That's back-to-back wins since Parkhurst's return from injury. With two games left, Nordjaelland is five points clear of the relegation zone and actually in the top half of the table. It's safe to say they're staying up.
anyone watching Danish Cup today? what site are streaming from? I've only found Justintv that I can access
Parkhurst has had some unlucky breaks in Denmark - he's never quite been able to hold a starting spot due to form and/or nagging injuries and has been shifted around a lot. But he deserves congrats for his 2nd straight cup title.
Parkhurst went 90 minutes at center back today and picked up a yellow card as FC Nordsjælland picked up their first points of the season in a 1-1 home draw with Horsens.
Via Selzter @ NSC Any guesses? Probably not Red Bull. Parkhurst doesn't quite seem like their international flavor. Could be wrong, though. But I'm gonna guess his interest comes from one of the following: Sturm Graz, Austria Wien, or Rapid Wien. Not bad clubs for Michael to latch into.
Don't know if you can generalize leagues like that. There's a huge economic and on the field difference between FC Copenhagen and Nordsjaelland, just like Austrian top teams have different resources.
(Austria?) wow, that would be a first, no? And seemingly very odd. You'd think he could not only do better (salary, league quality-wise) in Europe- either another team in Denmark or elsewhere or even coming back to US
