Sorry if this has been posted before, but I stumbled across this site for Livestrong Sporting Park last night and had not seen it before. It had a lot more specific information about different things than I had seen before. http://www.livestrongsportingpark.com/
Chris Wyche posted this on twitter. Pretty cool touch. I hadn't thought about something like that being missing. I like it. Well done.
Got a set of pictures from fellow BigSoccer poster Brice/D.B.M. that I posted up on the blog tonight. Stitched panoramic that are basically amazing to me, and hopefully to you. http://sportingtimes.net/articles/livestrong-sporting-park-home-of-sporting-kansas-city/
can you post a link to his twitter instead? the pic isn't showing up, nor does it work when i copy/paste.
No room for more? Just as I feel the star above badge should be to one side, there should always be a space to fill. Otherwise there is a sense of finality.
It's not about whether they can be moved. It's about a mentality that we are constantly in pursuit of the next one. It's just my take.
Without turning this into an entire branding discussion I think it would have been a nice touch to have included the 'Kansas City Wizards' on that wall. It was the Wizards that won those trophies ...
I felt the same way, but have made my feelings on the rebranding felt enough that I didn't want to come off as starting that debate again. Either that or include the old logos underneath or something.
Yeah that is what I was thinking, just include the old logo in there -- the prior 15 years DID happen and choosing to take the honors from the past but not include the past that comes with it just leaves me feeling a little like (WC would be proud) like that era is being stepped away from a bit to much. I know the team want to focus on the new brand but a logo would not have hurt to much. I like the rebrand now, but I also respect our history.
I understand what you're saying, but am of the opposite opinion. I think not showing the Wizards logos demonstrates more continuity because it acknowledges the franchise as a whole is unchanged, just the name and colors are changed.
just like having good facilities helps in college recruiting. I hope the stadium and the training ground helps SKC sign high caliber players in the future
I've been hoping so as well. I'm no expert but from what I've seen there is nothing in MLS that compares to what we have as far as facilities overall. You would have to think that it would play a part in getting top-notch talent. I'm sure it will depend on the individual. Some may be more considered about the size of the market they play in or the region of the country that would become their home. I doubt what SKC can offer goes unnoticed. We'll have something special to offer and hopefully a winning atmosphere to go with it.
