Yeah more and more each day it is starting to look like Donovan or Dempsey up top.

Well...Maybe Agudelo will put on a show tonight

Teal has been damn near invisible since that 2 goal game.

Agreed that our forward pool looks poor for the GC, although there is some cause for long term optimism with guys like Bunbury, Davies, Mwanga, Salgado, and even McInerney showing some flashes of ability.

Right now if I were Bob I would roll with Jozy, Buddle, Agudelo, and possibly Gomez.

It's hard to blame Teal for the game last night though. The LA midfield dominated SKC, meaning Teal was essentially out of the game. I hate to judge him on last night, cause he got zero service. And I mean zero.

With Davies hamstring injury, Bunbury might eke his way in.

If your talking youngsters you have to throw Jann George and Terrence Boyd in there who each have a chance at Bundesliga action next year.

Second hat trick of the season goes to Justin Braun. Man if he was on a better team then chivas he would be a star already had 9 goals last season for those that don't remember

He apparently had some sick move from the wing that lead to a missed shot...my stream decided to play mexican soccer so I did not see it.

I would like to see him when they are not trying to reclaim a lead/tie.

Calm down, first, look at the box score and see how many minutes Juan played. Also, Juan replaced Dane Richards at RM when he came in and skinned a Chivas defender setting up a shot.

Bobby Convey played left back for San Jose on Saturday. I'm surprised there hasn't been a comment on it yet because this is something many posters have been clamoring to get as an option for the national team.

I think Teal would be doing so much better at a different club. If he played the Galaxy, I am pretty sure he'd be one of the top scorers this season. The kid has talent; I think even more talent than Agudelo. Teal is the lone striker in kansas' set up and their midfield doesn't help him at all. I hope that we can keep Agudelo and Bunbury at their clubs for the gold cup. Their play in the MLS hasn't been phenomenal and hasn't warranted excluding guys like Buddle, Gomez, Davies, or even Wondolowski who is continuing to score.

    Wrong.

Teal doesn't have more talent than Agudelo, I'm with Athletico Madrid and basically everyone else on this. Agudelo has potential to be a world class striker. What is probably true is that Teal is a more polished striker than Agudelo right now, but Teal is also like 22 or 23.

Teal Bunbury=better than Quavas Kirk could have ever dreamed.

i don't understand how a player is either the next drogba or they are nothing more than a washed out reject. (granted, most youth players do turn out to be washed out rejects.) the way i see Teal Bunbury is that he's probably never going to be playing for one of the world's best clubs, but i do believe if he can stay on the right path that he can be a middle of the road, dependable striker. He's barely 21, he still has time to improve the tactical side of his game.

    Bunbury turned 21 in February.

I'm not sure who among Agudelo and Bunbury will be better, but I do know thing: we could really use both of them.

Much in the same way that Juan Agudelo is the next Peri Marosevic.

I do think it is unfortunate that Agudelo or Bunbury aren't on teams that either needed them more, for the former, or had better other players to help, for the latter.

From the perspective of a US fan, of course.

No question he has talent with size. Agree he gets very little service from his mids, my question is...why doesn't he come down further to get passes, is it because he isn't polished enough to figure it out or has he been instructed to stay on top? if is the latter, the blame should be with the coaching staff.

He comes back but SKC hardly ever has the ball...their midfield get do,inated by just about everyone.

The Teal is pretty good but the guy is sitting on an island for most of their matches.

SKC needs to get a midfielder who can maintain possession and link up with the forwards or play with true wingers..

    (emphasis added).

At a rate of about .5/game.

But you know scoring is overrated. It's the potential to potentially be a world class striker that warrants being called up to the USMNT.

Actually, over the past 17 MLS matches (first 9 this year, last 8 last year) Wondolowski has scored 15 goals. If you include the playoffs last year he's scored 16 goals in his last 20 games. That's truly an amazing pace, and it's hard to call it a "hot streak" because it's gone over an offseason and gone on so long.

I don't get how people are calling for Gomez to be called in ahead of Wondolowski, because Herculez scored 4 goals in the last month. Before those 4 goals he hadn't scored in almost a year.

Because some people act like goals scored in leagues other than MLS........count for a lot more than goals scored in MLS. When a striker scores a tap in during garbage time of a Macedonia 3rd division league game......the "CAP HIM NOW" flares go up. All Wondo does is score goals in MLS.

He's the Cris Carter of MLS.

Edit: and some googling reveals that Carter isn't in the NFL HoF. What a joke those voters are.
