Agree with all of this. We needed to play LA to gauge how good we currently are. This match will help the team move forward a great deal. Only saw highlights of the match but I have to say the defense looked vulnerable on occasion and I have to say Miller looked out of his depth. I still don't think Solli is the answer at right back either. I want to see him further up the park. I think the depth of the team in other areas is pretty good and certainly don't think trading Tchaini etc was a bad move.

A draw away to the best team in the league is certainly no bad result. Sure there are things to work on but we got a point.

He didn't try to force DeRo to quit on Canada, he thought DeRo wasn't in their plans for this coming Gold Cup. He apologized after making the mistake before flying over to LA for the game. So he knows now he will miss DeRo. Which means more chances for Nielsen, Kassell & Rooney.

Tainio will be back in defensive midfield, I think Lindpere should be back behind Henry & Rodgers. Have Ballouchy wide left in the midfield & if Albright is good to go, move Solli to Right wing midfield.

You talk to me next week, when you will not have who to play for Ream, Marquez, Agudelo, Richards, DeRosario and Miller for 4 games and when the team start loosing one over another and them tell me Tchani and Borman Who?....

And read what I say, no body here never say nothing about Sinisa, I star like two year ago asking for his head, what I say is remove a player if you will improve the average of the team, but keeping Robinson, Miller, Albright and Nielsen you are not improving a shit....

First of all metz, Tchani and Borman are the only players we gave away that ever would have seen first team minutes this year, even during the Gold Cup, and we got a massive improvement in our starting lineup with De Rosario over Ballouchy. And yeah we're gonna lose guys to international games, thats what happens when you put together a quality squad. Are you actually suggesting that we should purposefully assemble a weaker first team for the entire season, just so that we can have two mediocre backups to use during the one month that we will miss our internationals? Is that actually what you want? You're so worried about our depth, what team in your opinion actually has quality depth? I don't see any world beaters on Salt Lake or Galaxy's benches...

Great game last night, entertaining for both sides and neutrals! I did not think Bouna would top his save against DC that came off of Boskovic's deflected shot, but his one handed save on the line against Barrett last night was unbelievable. Save of the year so far. And Henry juggling 30 yards down the sideline... poor Mike Magee had to just run alongside and watch! Miller had his first really poor game of the season but Donovan is going to be one of the, if not the most difficult player he'll have to mark all season.

Honestly I think RB was a bit fortunate to come away with a point in this one; they were a little overmatched over the first 60+ minutes. But they did manage the game well in the last 30 minutes, and away at LA Galaxy that's not a small feat.

The fullbacks are a bit of an issue, something that hasn't really been truly exposed until last night.

I don't think they were overmatched for the entire first hour, the first 25 minutes or so were played pretty evenly. Then things started to fall apart as LA's midfield got settled in and took advantage of Ballouchy's complete lack of tactical awareness, can't tell you how many times I facepalmed watching him run into completely useless areas of the field on defense.

That was really the substance of it. LA (really, Beckham more than anything in this case) was dictating the pace mostly by taking advantage of the space that Ballouchy was giving him. And the chemistry with De Ro was fairly dysfunctional. By the end, though, they'd tightened it up a bit and the last 10-15 minutes were able to dictate tempo, and Beckham's probing attacking passes got fewer.

The introduction of Agudelo had something to do with that as well, I think. LA wasn't able to push the fullbacks up in possession as much, and RB looked dangerous on the counter.

Well I was really impressed... yeah I talked a lot of smack about this one, but honestly i was thinking 2-2... Ballouchy was adequate, but certainly a downgrade... i would have liked to see Teemu.. I thought that was probably one of if not the best MLS match i have seen.. Beckham showed up to play and so did both sides... Henry was amazing for about 3/4 and then he appeared to get winded.. highlight reel moments all night.. we beat any other squad in MLS last night 2-3 nil.. and thats including RSL.. RSL is way, way overrated!! Yeah they beat a weak LA side, but seriously both these clubs are the class of MLS.. kudos to RB last night for getting the point and playing for the win!!!

Sinisa? He has not been able to make another MLS team. Sinisa was never a star just a marginally capable fill in who was starting to show something then after his hamstring injury and his return he absolutely sucked.

Sinisa was also never a left back so mentioning Miller is irrelevant. Albright has also a defender and much more valuable player. I would take Carl Robinson and Nielsen over him any day. Those last two are the only players you should have mentioned. They say Nielsen is healthy and practicing so I hope to see him soon. There is no upside to Sinisa. He had several years of play to show himself.

You don't hear what I say: "I was the first and only here to ask for his head for two year and the same that happen when I asking for Angel, every body was against me, but for two years I was hammering for his dismiss"...But that not mean that you will dismiss a player because don't click in you team for another worst and that is what I'm talking about, that dismiss Sinisa, Hall, Tchani and Borman to keep Robinson, Miller, Nielsen and Ballouchy is a ignominia....

    Miller > Borman
    Ballouchy, Nielsen > Hall, Sinisa

Sure, Tchani > Robinson (maybe), but DeRo >>>>>>>>> Tchani, so stop bitching

Really you are o pretend to be...

I never had compare DeRo with Tichani and I say before and say again I like DeRo as NYRB, and say that will not mind have Sharlie too but not for Agudelo as payment and in the same token I think the sacrifice to get DeRo(*) was to big they could do other arraignment's, because was Toronto and DeRo who want to move no Tichani so I'm sure there was have to be another way of payment....

    (*)
    a.-Tichani
    2.-Borman
    3.-2012 First Draft
    4.-One Reserve Player and
    5.-a second reserve player...

That is why we are playing only with 8 reserve roster, because they have to use de salary of those two players to bring DeRo....

So that I understand this, you would rather have two bench players in Borman and Tchani rather than DeRO? Because that is what the deal is and also with TFC pickuing up some of DeRo's salary. You can't be serious about this can you?

Don't put word in my post....

I don't care if they give 6 M to DeRo or pay 10 M to Toronto as a transfer, My point is that let go of two player that today we need because we don't have a legit Sub for Tainio (Tchani) and also for Lindpere/Miller (Borman) I think is stupid and bad coaching....If we will have a left footed player to sub Lindpere any time or a Defense Mid Fielder I will not say a shit, but happen that we don't and that will haunt us the rest of the year.....

Metz, he did not put words in your mouth. You did. #1, we gave up only one player. We got one and gave up two. 2-1 = 1. We gave up one and that was Borman and we gave up Tchani for DeRo. REALLY, are you serious? That draft pick will also be a late 1st rounder (not much). We are down one player in Borman in terms of depth and we got one of top midfielders in MLS making Ballouchy a reserve player where he actually has decent value.

We have some pretty good players in our academy who will also fill out Borman's need particularly Galllego

Borman can be replaced easily. It appears that Backe had Da Luz in mind which I hope you actually like since you were hoping for those young players to get a chance. The only problem there is Da Luz has been injured. I think somehow we will survive without Borman. We can also play Albright on the left side and I have a feeling he will do OK if needed for those few games in June if Miller is picked up. Given Miller's recent play, I wonder.

He's been okay so far, but that LA game reminded me too much of the San Jose home playoff game last year. Namely: "Let's put a good player on that side, apply high pressure, and watch him self destruct."

I think Miller is a decent LB over an entire season...one that many teams would like to have on their books.

What I don't like is that in a one-off game teams can game plan their attack to take advantage of him...and find success.

I don't really disagree with you. I think he was doing fine until the last 2 games. I just think that among the starting 11, he is now our weakest link. I hope he returns to the form he had in those first few games. We need him at his play at the beginning to have a good chance at the supporters shield and the cup. There were just too many times where he gave up the ball deep in our area.

I would argue that he hasn't faced consistent high pressure yet this season until that LA game. Solli/Marquez/Ream didn't have the same problems adjusting to it that Miller did.

This worries me because it was that same high pressure on his side of the field that undid us against San Jose in the playoffs.

Again, not worried about him as a regular season player. Playoffs? Yes, still very worried.
