Regardless of how our match with them goes at the weekend, I'll cheering for the Mancs in the CL final. Barcelona are disgusting with their unnecessary theatrics.
If they are smart (I am looking at you Messrs Scholes, Rooney and Vidic) they wont give the ref any excuse to blow his whistle. Still not sure Utd have the midfield to deal with Barca but we shall see.
I think they do. Giggs and Rooney have enough between them to gain possession also Hernandez provides to Utd was Villa does for Barcelona. I think if Carrick, Scholes, Park (who can mark Xavi), and perhaps one of the da Silva twins along with those two can contain and exploit Barcelona. Here's hoping at least.
I was saying that he could have sent off three Real players and ended up sending off none. So José's little mind games got to him, which is hardly surprising considering that the same happens to him in the far less glamorous and international Belgian league. It's easy to paint a biased picture of a ref if you ignore all the calls he made in favor of one team and only devote attention to the ones he made that were to their disadvantage. So yes, in a perfect world this game would have ended 9 vs. 11 with a score of 2-1 in Real's favor.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/q/qpr/9473285.stm I can not tell you how much I would laugh if QPR didnt get up. also, congrats to Norwich on getting back to the Prem. Lets be havin ya!
He had a crap game all around, as he did last year at this stage. Anyone who follows the Jupiler league will not be surprised by the fact that circumstances got to him. The real mystery is why UEFA seem to hold him in such high regard. The good news is that he is retiring from European football at the end of the year.
I guess the best thing to come out of these Clasicos will be instant replay. Belgian is right. RM should have lost 2 players and the goal was legit. Nice match ref. Way to avoid controversy.
Seriously? I thought he was terrible. He's way late on 6/10 tackles and pretty poor with the ball too. .
would that be like promoting a clearly underqualified Norwiegen ref for a vital CL game only to see him make further errors the following season proving his complete incompetence
100% rooting for United in the final. Though I wouldn't be surprised if UEFA go so far as to appoint Ovr**o (he whose name shall not by typed in full on this forum) to ref the final!
Do you start Hernadez or wait to let him run at a tired backline? Does the kid have the stones to start a CL final at his age? Nani/Valencia will have to have monster games (either or will start as I doubt highly both do as you rightly point out they need Park to harrass Xavi). Scholes MUST MUST MUST stay on his feet. Utd could play a perfect game but that still might not be enough to overcome certain.......biases. We shall see.
thankfully they cant fix the final with him as he no longer officiates UEFA and FIFA games and only the Norwiegians have to suffer with him I am sure UEFA will find a suitable replacement
