I'm pretty sure that Obragon kid is playing for Mexico. I saw an interview with him wearing an El Tri jersey and saying he wanted to play for Mexico.
Re: Christian Camera Earns Training at Valencia off topic... but who have they sold? Albiol and ? their debt is being taken care of apparently edit: Solano may be lying, but they havent sold anyone either... and Banega isnt all that much to get excited over... Valencia dont want him its just a training opportunity... good luck to the kid, hope he does well...
He's 9! Give him some ice cream & a PSP and he'll be repping our U14! Back on topic: Anyone know any good nicknames for Christian Camera?
Jeez, Camera is close to getting too carried away with YA, but what country a 9 year old is going to rep? wow. Thats like asking him what he wants to be when he grows up. 50%-Soccer Player 25%-Firefighter 25%-Army Dude
I know, I was being nostalgic as I was 9 and wanted to be all three haha. Oh, and Houston's GK for the trip where they beat Rangers and Real Madrid is going into Bradenton's Residency, he was also born in 1994.
Camera celebrating his goal against Real Madrid. It's the seventh pic in the album. http://houston.mlsnet.com/gallery/photogallery.jsp?pathid=200908196502274&vkey=t200
I posted this in his other thread too- he plays for the u18 dynamo academy now. pretty good for a 16 year old.he played in the USSF play offs before the Dynamo were eliminated. http://www.houstondynamo.com/news/20...-fails-advance
Elkins H.S. the producer of other talents Mpoki Tenende (Dynamo Reserves) and Marcus Storey (Crew, Dynamo, pro in Germany), among others, and also my rival school Luckily we wiped the floor with them pretty much always. Good for Christian by the way, Houston's youth academy has their shit together and are committed to developing their kids. Tons of talent coming out of there.
I knew that young talented players were gonna start coming out of the MLS academies eventually but this is much sooner than I expected. Crazy what I'm seing in these MLS youth tournaments
This is good since he has 2 more years in the academy to impress and hopefully he offered a pro deal. Maybe by that time MLS will raise the number of dev. academy players who can be signed to 3 or 4.
Is it just me or is does that goal make him look an awful lot like a certain short Argentinian? No, not that one. The one from the '80s. The fat one. Before you go nuts on me, look at his body build and body positioning. And the way he ran at the defense. It's there, no? Obviously it's just a look and doesn't mean anything, but it's a good sign.
Hmm. I wonder how good the other team actually is. There is a resemblance to Diego though. Nice goal.
As always.........be wary of the isolated YouTube highlight clip. He looked really good on that one play. [Of course, he's not a Yank Abroad.............but that's another issue I guess.]
He is a tad thick (by soccer player standards; personally, I'd love to be that "fat.") but it's a helluva a lot easier to teach fitness than skill! I'd much rather have a chunky skilled player than a really fit player with minimal ball skills. Any chance the Dynamo put pen to paper with him anytime soon?
Reminds me of the same body type as Fabrizio Miccoli. If he tightens up a bit, he can look like this. lol Where is his parents from, or his dad?
I live about 5 minutes from Elkins High School but got to this thread late. If I'm able to, I'll go watch him up close in training or a game and let you guys know if he's the real deal. Also, Pearland has had a decent influx of talent in its program for a few years now. I can't speak about their team this year in particular but I can tell you that Houston soccer H.S. playoffs showcase some very good players who play at a high level. Of course that can be said for nearly any big city, but I think we all know that Texas in general takes its High School sports very seriously.
2 things 1. Is he eligible to play for the US? 2. Where can we see some more footage of him playing??
