The midseason window for Sweden and Norway is in August. The danish window I assume is similar to most of europe since they have their offseason in the summer. Players without a contract can be signed at any time.

Danish 2nd division to England 5th although I think the Hjorring contract was a short term deal.

I think this level is probably right for Euan based on his playing ability.

Stockport was in League One two seasons ago, but they've been relegated each of the last two seasons. It's Manchester area, so it puts him near Stu.

I believe they've had a lot of financial problems and even went into administration a few years ago.

He can certainly work his way up from the 5th division Jon-Paul Pittman did it. It seems guys from lower leagues are being signed all the time because they are cheaper, there is talent in the lower leagues. Charlie Austin is a good example too.

Jemal Johnson was on loan there the second half of last year when they were relegated.

He played forward/ACM throughout his entire youth career and had a few goals like this in him actually. He was just inconsistent and that's really what held him back.

It was a great goal, but keep in mind there's a reason the guys on the other team play in the English FIFTH division.

Hopefully this gets Euan a deal from a team in a higher level... like League 2.

Stockport has a pretty decent chance of gaining promotion to League 2 this year, it might not be a bad move for Euan to stick around.

To be honest, unless he's gotten substantially better in the last year and a half, the Blue Square League/Lower League Two is pretty much his level, and not much higher.

The Conference National season came to an end today. Stockport County ended the season safely in 16th place. Holden played in 33 games (29 starts) and scored one goal in the league. He also had one start in the FA Cup as well as one in the FA Trophy.

Contract with Stockport was mutually terminated: http://www.stockport.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=304388

"Euan Holden has left Edgeley Park six months before the end of his contract, taking a payment to leave the club.

It was about time the left back did the club a favour after refusing to go out on loan several times this season."
