I have been blessed by the Chelsea Gods for this thread. Thank you very much IGTB. So right off the bat, what is your formation again???? I know some of you have already posted it. I am asking for this Bos--Luiz--JT--Cole Yossi/McEachran-Mikel-Lamps--Malouda El Nino---Drogba I believe this can be the best Strikeforce on the planet.
He has been on & off. It's his groin. I was thinking see if Bos can handle the pace of Bale. That will be a worrying point, especially in Ram or Bison's condition atm. We will need some cover on the right hand side. I do see a hole forming there already & Ferriera is not the answer to plug it.
Should we beat Spurs on Saturday and the mancs lose on Sunday then we win the PL if we win our last 3 games. Simple, no ?
LMAO, you guys are funny w/ your rb subs. Unfortunately Don Carlo has some charm spell or something from Ferreira, because he always looks to him for answers Don't get me wrong, Ferreira has been a great servant for the club. However, Don Carlo feels he must find time for Ferreira. Ok enough w/ the Ferreira dependence talk, here is the Pre-match press conference from the gaffer: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=svHFYxpks4s]Don Carlo's PC pre-spudz match[/ame]
Don't be surprised to see Drogs and Torres in a 4-4-2, says Carlo http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_6902228,00.html As long as it has Obi I'm on board; no Obi no worky, don't think the pairing has really been tried with him yet. If Anelka is in especially at playmaker will be a very slow long day. If Ramires ready to go I'd put him on the right with Obi, Lamp in middle and Malouda/Zhirkov on left or perhaps go with a diamond with Obi then Supah and Ramires and Yossi up top. Hopefully Ramires is good to go he will trouble Bale
Is Ivan really out? We returned to our winning ways when Bos "got sick" I'd still like to see a 4-3-3 with DD or FT on the RW like Anelka used to play with plenty of leash. Mikel, Lamps and Essien in the midfield or Yossi. Ivan-Luiz-JT-Cole in the back just want the 3 points to put the pressure on United.
Sorry, but IMHO Bane looks to be a bad match w/ Bale or the pace that spuz can bring on the right side. Then again, we saw how Bos was skinned by Giggs. Do you think Bale can duplicate that type of play??? I don't, he is all speed. Bro, there isn't a Chelsea fan that doesn't want the 3 points. Can you imagine what the new dvd will look like if spudz even get a result I don't want spudz releasing a new dvd next week. I want them to dream about the Champion's League & not to participate in it next season.
Really would like to see us play 4-4-2 tomorrow. I'm worried about Modric. He plays well against us and we will need to be competitive in midfield, stifling his passes to VDV. A 4-4-2 will also help us to deal with Bale - not sure how well Bosingwa can handle him. Torres and Drogs to play up front ? I don't think so...for no particular reason other than Carlo. I'd definitely start Drogs - he likes playing Spurs, and I'd play Kalou on his right side. Obi in midfield in a 4-4-2 ! 2-0 the Blues BTW, I don't think the mancs will beat Arsenal on Sunday....just a feeling
the formation and tactics all depend on weather carlo starts didier, torres, or both if we go 442 then realistically well see: ivan----luiz----jt----ash ess--mikel---lamps--flo ---didier------nando--- if we go 433 torres will be on the bench: ivan----luiz----jt----ash ess------mikel----lamps kalou-----didier------flo
I've always enjoyed the "Days since" counter: DAYS SINCE Chelsea won a trophy: 350 Tottenham won at Stamford Bridge: 7,749 Arsenal won a trophy: 2,169 Liverpool won a trophy: 1,803 ...kinda reminds you how fortunate (maybe even spoiled) we've been.
It's surprising how good our GD is compared to United's. Jeez, if we had just one more win, we'd have a real shot at the title (and IMO we still do).
Good news from Cobham....Everyone is fit [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dXru4FgSaFU]Blues News from 5pm(GMT)[/ame] Somehow we forgot to add this match will mark JT's 500th appearance w/ the Blues
Not quite. If we win 1-0 tomorrow and they lose 1-0 on Sunday and then we beat them 1-0, we'll be top on goal difference by 1 goal, with two games to go. HOWEVER, if we finish level on points and level on goal difference, then it goes to goals scored and they are 7 ahead right now.
We'll agree to disagree... I can't support a 38 game season being decided on two isolated games at different times in a 10 month period. Or at least, not ahead of a metric that measures footballing success over the whole term - which goals scored does. All that said, if points, goal difference, and goals scored are all equal, a playoff (probably a one-off match, but the format of the playoff is not stipulated in the rules) on neutral territory will decide the league.
