if I am a Madrid fan I am pleased with the Jose-esque football on display

from a neutral perspective- this game leaves a lot to be desired

I'm just a Jose fan, so I'm relatively happy. I hope a Real player goes and smacks Valdes and Busquets ends up hilariously humiliated.

... and Marcelo. The diving and whining that fella does is unbelievable.

Well, tbh, you could say that about half the players on the piutch :D
    I think you mean 'anti-football', don't you? ;)
It doesn't pain me in the slightest. Both sides are a disgrace with their attitudes. If yanited get through against Schalke, (looking likely atm), and continue playing the way they're played in the previous game I'd go so far as to say ANYONE who truly loves the game will want them to win.

I've spent the past 40+ years talking to yanks, trying to convince them that football's the greatest game in the world and worth watching. When we're presented with THIS kind of spectacle, whene grown men act in a way that a 12 year-old schoolgirl would be embarassed to be seen doing in public, it becomes very hard to stick to that story.

Clasico is a farce and a sham now.

What is that? 5 straight red-cards for Jose against Barca? Haha.

How is that a red? Did every single Barca player surround the ref calling for a card?

Very harsh red, I think. It wasn't a sliding tackle with studs up, he challenged for the ball in the air a bit late like players do every game.

I just dont know how Barca fans can pretend that there is not a bias towards them?

    Dreadful.

btw- I really, really dont like Dempsey but he has two on the night and is putting together an impressive season.

Barcelona are a ********ing disgrace. You're not the best team in the world if you can't compete 11v11, and they never have to when they're up against another good team. Ridiculous.

Pepe is a huge loss for them. They are already missing the impetus of Khedira who should be back when?

I think both teams are a disgrace in all honesty, especially Barca.

@ Bruckner, I think Khedira should be back.

I think he and Ozil are the best two dribblers in the side. C.Ronaldo is not that great in tight spaces and while he can beat a man or two at full pace and with space behind, he isn't the best when he's got little space.

As for fullbacks, Evra and Lahm are not that far behind in that regard. An in from A.Cole isn't too shabby either.

No wonder Jose wants to leave Madrid. At least in other leagues, he doesn't have to worry about playing Barca at least 2 times and get cheated.

Yeah... TBH that wasn't the best example of it because it was a stupid challenge but, even so. Very soft even if it WAS a high foot.

BTW was it a straight red or a second yellow? If it was a straight red that's bloody ridiculous.

    An embarrassing game overall.
Bad officiating and a lot of play acting .
