My customer service rep said there would be a season ticket holder event at the stadium in May sometime and at that time they would pass out season tickets to those who could make it.
That's a good question. I have been torn on whether to buy one or not and this could help me make a decision. I actually thought it would be a cool idea to give everyone a commerative scarf on opening night and have the opening shot for ESPN be everyone holding them up. That would be awesome.
Little bird told me there is gonna be a June 9th opening day scarf and a STH scarf. Yunno how these little birds are ... what they say doesn't always happen ... but there yougo.
this kind of shot would look great, but it's a damn near impossibility. even for the opening, 20-30% of the attendees won't be in the stadium yet. i'm not being judgmental about it (i'm usually one of them), it's just the way it is.
With a game that late, it shouldn't be that hard to get them into the stadium for a cool shot like that. Just advertise that there will be something free and that they need to be in the stadium by a certain point, bam done.
You obviously havent tailgated with us. We are rarely in our seats before the game starts or even by the 5th minute. It's always that, "one more beer" mentality.
9:00 kickoff for the home opener in a new stadium on ESPN and you can't be punctual? Just this once? I would think everybody would want to see the first walkout and the national anthem for this once in a lifetime event. Too bad it is this late...they might call out the stealth bomber again (if we could see it after dark). Hope they have somebody like David Cook sing the anthem.
I honestly don't think I'll be doing much pregaming on June 9th. I want to be in the stadium, walking around and taking it all in at around 7-7:30 (if possible), and I want to be in my seat by 8:30. Oh man that's going to be an awesome day. Speaking of which, does anyone know what time the gates are going to open on opening day?
Somebody semi-local and famous is what I meant....so yes, Sheryl Crow would fit the bill, especially fitting since she battled cancer. Or even Melissa Etheridge, who is also a cancer survivor.
I'm not sure Sheryl Crow will be showing up at anything associated with Lance, but who knows. I get the impression that relationship did not end well.
We'll probably be in there in time for this one but it might be the only game ever that we make it in on time. David Cook? Hasnt that game show winner's 15 minutes come and gone?
We've chatted about this off and on for a couple of years now....certainly hope they do it. I heard a little something about this....it would certainly be cool, and it should still be light enough at 9:00 on June 9th....isn't that pretty close to the Summer Solstice?
