Aucas had a attendance of 4000+ fans in their last game! i know Aucas at one time had the biggest following in Quito and perhaps the country hence the nickname "PAPA". Am I the only shocked??

Good for Aucas! Quito is a conglomeration of Barcelona, Dep. Quito, El Nacional, Liga, and Aucas fans...

I don't think they were ever at the national level, atleast not
on the costa. Barcelona is on the national level. Barcelona Idolo del Ecuador, Aucas Idolo capitalino or isn't that how they call themselves?? I forgot?

Papá Aucas is winning games. They beat 3-1 to Chile a team south of Quito. They are in first place in their division in Second Category. Janio Pinto is the new head coach. Aucas next game is vs Coniburo while Chile plays vs America.

If Aucas wins one game that they have, I do not against which team, they will qualify for the regionals. Papá Aucas.

Aucas will play this weekend vs Valle del Chota in the Olimpic Stadium of Ibarra. Aucas qualifies to "El Hexagonal" if they tie or win this game. Valle del Chota has won all their home games. D. Quevedo, Mushuc Runa, and L. de Cuenca are already qualified to "El Hexagonal". All the 6 teams will all play away and home games and the top two teams will qualify to play for Serie B for next year.

Aucas lost 1-0 vs Valle del Chota. Valle del Chota qualified for the Hexagonal while Aucas got eliminated. Aucas will have to try a shot for next year.

I don't think its an embarassment. I think its sad and extremely bad for ecua futbol to have this historic club down in the dumps. Ecuadorian futbol needs these types of Clubs. I rather see Aucas in the First Division than some of the other clowns. alot of good players came out of Aucas. Edwin Tenorio, Geovanni Espinoza to name a few. I think Gonzalo Chila came from Aucas. Pinto should have been professional enough to stay with the club.

Papa Aucas has to start all over. They are getting some assistance of LDU Q. Some players are being given by LDU Q to them so they could play for this year. Hopefully they are able to make it to Serie B.

I remember when Ariel Graziani used to play for "Papa" Aucas and I used to say to my friends, that player should be great if he played for Emelec. He was outstanding in "Papa" Aucas. Eventually, he ended up playing for Emelec and other teams.

Aucas is said to average a higher attendance rate than the majority of ecuadorian futbol clubs in the Serie A. And I also thought America disappeared a long time ago. Maybe it's another one? I'm not too informed on it.

Joffre Guerron also came out of Aucas's youth team. We have to be honest they weren't the best team, but they have contributed to some historic players which makes them a good team for youth players and in general pretty recognized in Ecuador. Much better comparing Aucas in youth development than those clowns from Barcelona SC who don't know jack about youth development.

First of all, I don't give a shit about your opinion. You sit there and write that all Argentines and spaniards are racist, especially myself against black ecua players than you want to have a conversation? no. ******** OFF!!!. Its the P.O.S people like you that always blames the white man for crap and use it as an excuse. Since you think that is than you must think you are inferior. but that's how a sick demented enfermo you are.. Well DUH, Guerron came from Aucas, but did you know that the same Guerron lived in Buenos Aires and went to the Boca Juniors youth development? Guerron had the time of his life in Argentina. even said so himself. All you heard during the copa libertadores was Niembro and Closs' annoying accent say "lo que se perdio Boca"..We are all racist huh? The ********ed up thing about it is that I had to come on this board and ask about some racist crap that happened in Mexico with Quintero and almost no news whatsoever on the tele about it. If that was an argentine in the Argentine league..UFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF....it would have been on CNN Business, Sports, Sky and every other channel in the World. Funny how thousands and thousand of Argentine Footballers have played in every country in the world with players from every nationality yet you never heard shit about racism Before. I asked you a sinple question:

Where has Felipe Caicedo experience Full Blown Racism?, in Switzerland, England, Spain or in Ecuador and you run away like a little BITCH!!!!

    The Answer: ECUADOR!

    So ******** OFF!!!

In 1999, I was in Riobamba and I went with my uncle from Riobamba to watch a game of El Olmedo vs "Papá" Aucas. If I am not mistaken, the game ended in a tie 2-2 or 3-3. I really do not remember. What I remember was that the game was very interesting. I was cheering at that time for "Papá" Aucas. The crowd was nice. I did not have any problems over there. I was surrounded by some friends of my uncle. It was a nice atmosphere.

    That is one angry dude...

And I do hope Aucas come back to Serie A somehow. I often wonder what led to their sudden demise. If you could call it that...
