That's called FATE! The trophy means to be with us no matter how many times we refused to take it! :)

When I saw Kos' header hit the bar at the pub I muttered to myself 'Oh so it's going to be one of those games', and of course the Gunners didn't let me down.....Good job out there Cesc, worst I've seen him play when it really mattered in a long time.

While I’m still full of discuss for yet another bent decision against us just because we’re not the darling club that Barca and Man U are to Fifa and the FA. Arsenal were sh*t with the same clichés used before, no spine and no killer instinct. This game wasn’t the reason we lost the league it were the toothless performances against Sunderland, Newcastle, Blackburn etc.

SaratogaGooner I too am sick of watching this team, they’ve been pricing me out from watching their team live but I’ve still been watching them on the TV in the promises that they’re getting better, well that’s a lie and I think I’ll just keep my money and stop paying to watching Arsenal altogether.

On ATVO they mentioned before the 70th minute that the two coaching staffs were shouting and gesturing to each other. I"m surprised Arsene even considered shaking hands. He's always said it was a pointless exercise that merely pretends to be, rather than is, good sportsmanship.

    I agree with him.

but for MU to lose the game against us + 2 other games within 6 games margin, we need some super power help (the refs, maybe)... ;)

We have a better chance of finishing 5th than winning the title.

Yea really, this is a talking point? The minute I saw the look on Kenny's face I would have walked the other way too.

Arsene knows very little of sportsmanship. The handshake isn't make up all of sportsmanship but it's a very public part of it.

Only to the people who like to moan about meaningless things (certain fans, message board posters, the media)

Their is actually more meaningful stuff to bitch about with this match, team, and Wenger... But a handshake is what people want to discuss

Sportsmanship is subjective. It differs from country to country and even game to game (the more intensive the match, the more likely people will let sportsmanship ride). Arsene is French; his views on sportsmanship are continental, not English. His reactions at unguarded times WILL be French. He just got two points taken away after having just been surprised by the two points, and both staffs were going at it most match...none of those things encourage a warm PR friendly "let's be friends" handshake. If he HADN'T been pissed off then I'd have been worried, we've seen managers (Rioch?)and players whose brains checkout before the season is done.

Since there isn't any rule that says you have to shake hands, I don't have any problem someone not doing it. Anyone who uses that as a reason to attack someone is being both infantile and petty. Stick to an argument that has merit. Lack of finishing. Failure to address the CB depth. A soft center in a league that is known for hard tackling. Those are issues that effect our squad and where steps can be taken.

Good game guys, you played well. I thought we could win it though. We had some good chances, and its always hard to play a man down for an entire match. You guys having a 12th man in Andre Marriner really made it tough for us, so a draw feels like a decent result.

Listened to this on the way back from my son's tournament in Indy. Wish I could say there was anything at all about the match that surprised me.

    :D

And if only Eboue HAD been invisible. I wonder if he has a costume that makes him invisible, or perhaps, like the Invisible Kid from "Mystery Men", it only works if no one is looking.

    Re: Arsene MUST GO!!!!!!!

Needed to vent! Did you watch the game? Did you really believe we were going to convincingly deliver the right result and did it really suprise you when, in the end, it went pear shaped? Would you deny that this same kind of performance has happened with monotonous regularity? Do you honestly believe that we still have any realistic chance of winning the title. If you don't believe we're going to win the title, is this a feeling which has only just come to you or have you been quietly harbouring it for a good while ? Would you reluctantly admit that the only reason we are still in with any chance has been more down to the poorer form of other top teams than it has to do with some miraculous leap forwards by our team? And finally do you not have a deep and recurrent sense of Deja vu about how things are likely to unfold for The Arsenal?

When every game is like a bad dream, then perhaps I will start a thread after every...

    When every game...

    When...

This is a really depressing post and I totally agree with the sentiment; which is totally depressing.

We've done that over and over. It's completely obvious how Arsene has bungled it but what is more amazing that Arsene does it year after year after year.

What bothers me at this point is how Wenger doesn't have the maturity to take any responsibility. It's the refs fault, the FA's, etc. Today's sideline antics speak to the mental make-up of the team which I feel is completely under developed.

Without a doubt the criticisms you describe are present in this squad but I believe that this team continues to make poor choices and demonstrate mistakes at critical times. It's all involved.

Same with me. For some reason, I got nervous after we scored even though there was about one minute left to play. Oh well. The only thing that bothered me was Wenger's actions after the game. It was poor form, but maybe I don't know the whole story.

Don't know who actually posted this, but you follow a team through think and thin! Whether you think the manager should go or this or that player should go, you stick with that team. If you can't handle the frustration then don't be part of the experience! I'm really fed up right now but nothing would make me stop following The Arsenal; even if hope for this season is all but extinguished.

god damn. if you want to quit on Arsenal, then ******** off. If you want to stick with them, then stick with them. In any event, quit bitching and infighting. It's annoying as hell and makes us all look stupid.

And look, there is MartyMarts. Right on cue. Jesus.

    Go hate on Spu*s.

Do you think any other Prem manager would've bought Squillaci?
