Estan muy refinados and spoiled these youngsters with their fancy HD and 5000 channel tvs.

Some of the best atmoshperes and games I watched in dirty, smoky, uncomfortable restaurants or back alley joints for $20 a head on overhead projectors with crappy sound.

One of my fondest memories was watching a game with my old man and a few dozen strangers in a cramped basement restaurant out in the middle of nowhere when Bolivia came back from two down to Chile and tied it up. Good times.

Of course when we lost, the "************s" and beers started flying, but I choose to remember the positive times:D

The trick was get there early so you could get some good chicharron or sahkta in you before the kitchen got borracho :D

Damn, you went to some classy joints Chico. The joints we ended up at had no chicharron to be seen, security pat downs and those old school tazers by the big ugly bouncers were the norm, and there was always some borracho who got out of hand by the end of the night and got a free taste of 800,000volts:p

Ahhh... I remember those times... my brothers, cousins, and me; going to see the games in "pantalla gigante" in some dump ass basement. I remember having my first beers with my brothers and cousins there. Those were some good times, even if our NT lost most of the time.

I used to go to a place called "Riconcito Boliviano" in Rockville MD.

I remembered Jaime Moreno stopped by for one of the Qualifier games, accompanied by 2-3 DC United Staff members. They were clearly his bitcch(s). I acted like I didn't care, as he was stuck up to many of the people inside. Looking back, I'd probably do the same considering everyone was drunk. Good times indeed.

I miss that crowded room, and the great times I had with pop, cousins and uncles.

My uncle owned a little grocery store in 7 Corners called La Bodega, above it was this little mala muerte joint who's name I can't recall. The owner was a friend of my uncle so he got us in and talked the guy into letting us bring our own beers and keep them in his cooler. I think the rest of the vatos there were getting pissed as we would walk back and come out with icy cold Paceñas while whey were getting served some luke warm swill for 3 bucks a pop. :D

^^ all i got to say that if Samuel Galindo isn't at least a sub or considered to represent. i will be sorely disappointed.and that scrappy Chumacero needs a chancetoo.

this is my guess for guaranteed players for CA2011

    Arquero - Carlos Arias

Ataque - Marcelo Moreno , Ricardo Pedriel

Thats pretty dead on but i would probably include Miguel Hoyos, Luis Gutierrez, Quinteros loves him some Walter Flores :p and Ronald Garcia.

    I demand Chumacero and Melean!!!

yuuuup. i didn't include them because i thought they weren't almost %100 IN , although Gutierrez is easily earning his spot. Marvin Bejarano faired pretty well when he got a shot.

Hahahahaha , Quinteros also loves him some Robles now. might as well call up Lito reyes too.

and Melean, i havent seen him play for oriente yet but i heard good things about him.(bolivian media)

Sciaparelly will definitely be in instead of Rivero (thank god) the same with Hoyos inseatad of Rodriguez, he sucked in both games against Panama and Guatemala. I don't think Florez will be a starter, I would rather see Chuma there, but Melean is a good option. Nacho is not a sure starter also after his performance in those two games. Don't forget about Edivaldo there. I suppose this could be the line up.

    Arias (Israel)
    Hoyos(oriente) Schiaparelly(oriente) Raldez(Colon) L. Gutierrez (oriente)

    Melean (oriente) Garcia (Bolivar)

Arce(oriente) Edivaldo(somewhere in Portugal) Campos (oriente)

    Martins (Shakhtar)

Arce and Campos should be on the sides like that for sure.

I didn't see Rodriguez suck at all.he's actually one of the most fit and strong players for our NT i think.this guy doesn't get enough credit.he plays central and on the side. I can see this guy in Bundeliga 2

and why would Edivaldo have a secure spot? we haven't even seen him play.Just because he plays in Portugal doesn't mean much to me personally.Until he actually plays and shows what he's got, then there is no consideration regarding him in Copa America.

    SI ^^^

Chuma has been to various micro ciclos and even got called up and it seems that the NT coach never puts him in the game..im beginning to think that chuma, regardless of his HEART and BALLS, just isnt good ENOUGH

The back line should be Raldes and Shiapa in the middle Nachito Garcia on the Left and I think Hoyos and Rodriguez are interchangeable as they both have thier up and downs, although I prefer Rodriguez as he has more discipline to come back to the line. Hoyos gets caught off too much and doesnt ahve the speed to get back. Rodriguez didnt do well in Panama but for the second game he was solid. He needs more time with the first team.

    Tickets are now on sale:

    http://copaamerica2011.ticketek.com.ar/

The Bolivia-Argentina match is sold out, but we weren't planning on going to that one, but we scored sweet tickets for Bolivia vs. Colombia and Bolivia vs. Japan.

One match we are in what they call "Fosos" - which is apparently on the field, may not have the best view, but it will be cool to be that close to the pitch...if they suck, we can always move up, since I doubt the match will sell out.

Tickets for 2nd round and on will go on sale on the 30th..
