When i first came to the forums... i spend some time reading about the extrangeros and especially the youngsters abroad.

This kid Vega has dual citizenship...

Now, Spain has a sub-14 and a sub-16 squad as most countries do.

unfortunately, there isn't any information to the fact that he played for Spain's sub14 or sub16. But I also don't know how long ago he was granted a Spanish citizenship. But i recall in an article, that he was in Spain back in early 2005. Furthermore, that would sing with Tottenham, but since he was not 16 he had to stay in Spain until he was 16, because there is some rule in England regarding singing players under 16.

Well, the fact the he is playing for the Juvenil A, is an accomplishment for the youngster.

And i do agree, as far as the sub 17. But i hope he plays for Bolivia and not Spain.

on a side note... when Messi was asked to play for the Spain, did he make the right decision by playing for the Arges or not?

He never played for spain at any age level. Period. And most countries do not have a national sub14 team as there were no FIFA competitions until the recent, and quite pointless, sub15 championships that no one pays attention to. Kids are just too young and there is little point in having national teams as most kids are not the same players, for better or worse, a few years later.

He played for a regional squad that won the national tourney, and there is zero chance he ever suits up for spain over bolivia. Spain will never call up a kid who is a foreigner and didn't grow up there from an early age, he's got no cultural ties to the country, he's got more ties to argentina than anything as he's spent most of his life in Argentina. He's a choli fan too.

Anyway, chances are he never suits up for anybody at all. The statistics are against him.

LOL ... Lionel Messi was asked to play for Spain and he declined. All you need is talent my man, talent is the deciding factor.

Now, how this kid will developed in upcoming years and what decision he makes, we will find out in the future. I know the statistics are against him, shit they were against him the moment he stepped foot in Spain. I guess we are just going to have to wait what the future holds for this kid.

No chance that Spain would not get a foreigner? That's very much not true. The best player in the spanish league isn't Spanish (1st division or second division), and I don't think there is any league around the world that has a spanish player as their top player.

France, Germany, Britain, Argentina, and many other countries around the world has nationalized foreigners for national team benefit.

Anyways. Writting off this kid now is crazy. He's having a far better upbringing then 99% of the players that are currently in our nats. He's a key player for youth teams, and has proven himself with an adult side Osasuna (granted it's 2nd division).

Suarez plays for the second team. Prior to the u17 qualifiers he mentioned he wanted to stay in Dynamo as he is getting close to being called to the first squad. In case you need more proof than my word here is the link on their site, his a midfielder of course.

Not sure where to post it so I decided to post it here (I didn't want to create a new thread). I was reading the latest issue of ESPN the magazine and they have a list of the best paid athletes for almost every country and guess what?! They got Bolivia. Now before I say who they have, let me see if anyone or most of you can guess. It's pretty obvious though.

    Read the whole thing.
It mentions Leonel Justiniano as one of the destacados of this team, apparently coaches have already started to ask about him.

Just read that Arias saved his team and they're in semi's of the Israeli Cup. From the bad translation I read that the game was tied 1-1 through end of regulation and overtiem and it went to penalties were Arias saved 2 penalties giving his team the 4-1 win and moving forward in the cup.
