This is going to work for sure. I am very confident Hoyos will get a brand new squad of talented players. We will do ok in Brazil this 2014 ( I feel like we will make it because of Quinteros and some stars). 2018 and 2022 are worldcups to watch

I heard that the toilets in Bolivar's locker room are made out of 100% pure silver from Cerro Rico in Potosí.

Well half way thru the season and as terrible as we've been playing we're somehow in second place only 4 points back. Hopefully the second half Cardozo-Ferreira-ZeCarlos will continue to develop chemistry. With a horrible defense, I still think Cardozo is the key, all he needs is to learn to make that last pass. Lets hope the scoring continues against realP.

How is it going for the team? I saw some results and it didn't look that positive.

    What about Hoyos and Nacho?

    post fail (blushes)

[ame="http://vimeo.com/18071203"]Marcelo Claure's Star Studded 40th Birthday Party (MC40), with Marc Anthony, J.Lo & The Gypsy Kings Performing on Vimeo[/ame]

Wow post fail big time. Anyway I meant to post this a while ago and I thought you Bolivar fans would be interested.

Point was that I was doing some different sector research of ETF's a few months ago when I came across Global X Lithium (http://quote.morningstar.com/ETF/f.aspx?t=lit). For those who don't know, it is the first ETF in the world that tracks companies that are involved in the lithium market. For those that don't know what an ETF is it's basically a portfolio of stocks that trade on the stock market.

Turns out your man Claure is the one who initiated the creation of this ETF and contributed much of the seed capital, which appears to have been very substantial. What does this mean, well it means that although he's already filthy rich he'll now have another potentially large revenue stream to fill his coffers. Depending on how the whole lithium question turns out in the next few years he could have a whole new fortune. This could be very significant to you guys and the MLS folks. Back when he tried to bring an MLS team to Miami the economic health of his company wasn't at its best (they were laying off folks and reducing costs) Today the health of his company is at an all time high and is currently in a fierce battle for the european market with his nearest competitor. If he wins out in europe then the sky is the limit and I have no doubt that he'll try to bring an MLS team to Miami and build you cholis a gold covered stadium in La Paz.

I came across the video above. Bonus points for anyone who can find Gato Fernandez or Guido Loayza in the video.

Well, Nacho has been having trouble with consistency.

He is quality.... but his ability to get yellow cards and red cards has been disgusting. He barely plays cause of suspension, or getting pulled from fear of getting another yellow after getting his first one!

Hoyos is a good coach.... but hasnt been bringing the results which we have hoped. I think we need to be more patient with him....

But the fan base are calling for his head from recent disappointing results. We have yet to light teams on fire, its always ties or losses, or barely really close wins.

No domination. I do like the guys he bruoght in, Frontini, Arguello the keeper, and Lizio. But because of the stupid foreigner rule in bolivia, only 4 foreigners are allowed at once. It hurts the keeper ,because he is good but often times he'll try our 20 year old keeper to have 4 foreigners on the field.

It stinks because the bolivian core lpayers are the disappointments. Too much inconsistency, and that style of play he wants to play... is not being played. Aka Barcelona Lite.

Nacho is quality like you say. But his problems with injuries and suspensions are too big. I haven't seen in him in Bolivar but from what I saw during his last years with Aris, I don't think he will ever come back to the level he once was at.

It sounds like Hoyos is the same as he was at Aris. His philosophy and how he approach the game is nice. I like him, he has a lot of knowledge and he can really train players. He can make the team play with nice combinations, tiki-taka futbol. He lacks some tactical knowledge though. From what I remember, he didn't really scout the other teams so he just played the same way against every team.

It might work in the long run if the team really learn to play that kind of football perfectly. It's very difficult though, ever team is not Barcelona and even Barcelona make many tactical changes from game to game, even though they don't change the basic way of approaching the game.

One game against Olympiacos we were up 2-0 at home and we completely destroyed them. But Hoyos didn't do anything to hold on to that score so we ended up losing 2-3.

Is he doing any work in your academies as well? If he does I think it can pay off, not many people can do it as well as him. He worked in Barcelona for some years with alot of success. I think he brought Messi and Jeffren to the club, or he was involved in it at least.

Gato is at 1:11 in the vid, Guido I cant remember.

On Hoyos, I dont remember many coaches that came in a new team with new players and tore up the league with all those changes. Whoever expected winning all the games and winning convincigly is a fool.

They need Hoyos there one more year to see the results.

Yea, its one of the biggest and prestigious youth tournaments in the world. Attracts some of the best youth players. The super club group which bolivar is in, should be fun to watch.

There apparently will bestreams of it. I will keep you guys in the loop if I find something.

Edit: check here, as this is probably where they will have streaming videos of the games.

As Fuego mentioned its the most prestigious youth tournament in north america. Tahuichi has won the most times (4) but that was back in the day and they've been MIA since.

There's a local coach in the north texan youth leagues that's an ex bolivar player who made this happen. I think Claure mentioned he'll be there and is expecting it to open the doors for more of bolivars age group teams to compete internatinally. What's weird to me and I'm not such a big fan of is that they're gonna have a "guest player" from texas, a college player pictured below. Nothing against him but what I'm against is that it seems Villegas is treating this much like Tahuichi is used to treating their tourneys now a days. Winning trophies instead of developing pros. Got some height to him at least.

Arsenal is bringing a stacked team, they should win the group easily. That Panamanian team is very good as well and won the whole thing a few years back. The bolivar team should at least beat the texan team.

Carinao, Quinonez and our long lost Sub17 standout Leonel Justiniano will be on the team.
