Dallas Cup

I would like to know where they got that photo from and it is nice to know I will be helping host an event when I am not even in the country. Oh well.

 

First weekend is for plastics. Second weekend is for true Gooners who know the lads will make it to the finals.

I wish I could have made it, but it ain't gonna happenin'. There still is an outside chance of the first weekend for me (plastics stand up!), and that'll do since I can spend some time with my brother.

Ok-do we need to get tix to matches ahead of time? What matches are we going to?

 

Well, the lads have to make it to the latter stages of the tournament for us to see them!

I really doubt there will be much trouble getting tickets, but Judy and JP will be there ahead of us to scout the stadium and tickets issues. And the bars.

With the Dallas Cup, the only thing you need to do is get there early if you want a decent seats. Otherwise you'll have some group moan that they were there first and bitch at you to move.

I believe there is a Beer garden at PHP(on the concert stage), but not sure if they will have it open during the Dallas Cup.


Bars in Frisco: Hooters, The Irish Rover, there are a couple across the street from PHP(built after I had crossed the pond), Trinity Hall(Cam was there the one and only time Brad showed up when he said he was), Allen Wickers(Plano), David and Busters(in the mall), and I am sure there are more that I am missing.

 

I found a few nice places for a sherry or two. But I'm sure we'll be able to find some more. I have a buddy that lives a few blocks from Trinity Hall and he can help us find appropriate establishments.

How is everybody getting from DFW to Magnolia? I saw that cab rides 1-way run about 50$... just wondering if there was an alternative.

 

I recommend using Super Shuttle aka the Blue Goose. I have never had a problem with them before.

 

I think the big issue is going to be getting to the stadium. You mentioned a car service. I think there is a link to one on Magnolia's website.

I see you are getting a car. I may get one too and we'll have those for getting around.
