Non english ref and we finally get the win we have deserved in multiple games at Chelsea.

It helps when Atkinson doesn't play for Chelsea.

Of course, we got away with arguably a pen (though initial contact was outside the box) though Zhirkov could have been sent off as well.

1/2 way there. They will throw everything at us in the second leg. We got lucky a few times but we're in a better position than they are.

And for those complaining about Park. He made several key tackles and made a general pest of himself in the 2nd half.

i'll take that. thought we played well enough and deserved the scoreline. what a ball by Carrick, control and pass by Giggs, dummy by Javier and goal by Rooney. great stuff.

also really good saves by VDS. hope he isn't too badly hurt.

nice to have Rio and Vidic back together. what happened to Rafael though? Evra went through the wars for us today and then lost his concentration right at the end. dodged a big bullet with the definite PK on Ramires. that's the breaks i guess. everyone gets them.

all and all, a good lead to take back to Old Trafford.

oh and glad Fernando finally got a card for his silly boy theatrics.

    Hehe...the interview with Ferdinand.

"Maybe it was a penalty, maybe it wasn't, but they've had their fair share of luck against us here over the years, it about time we had a bit" :D

    Cleared.

Also, by no means do I feel for them. I just think that could have been a PK. Still wouldn't make up the number of shite calls we've gotten against them over the last few years.

Buzzing :D Gonna be a good night!

All I have it say is, its about time we get a favorable decision vs. them. Also, its about time we win @ Stamford Bridge. Hopefully we can take care of business next week.

i meant that even if they had luiz you couldnt call this a full power chelsea, i did not mean to imply that he might be able to play against us.

That was Carrick best performance in some time for me, very happy about him. What was all the hoofing, SAF does make some bizzare decisions, why leave a 37 year old for the whole game specially in midfield. Valencia and Nani is a mouth watering concept.

I have a bad feeling we won't be seeing Rafael again this season. I hope I am wrong of course, just didn't look good.

And Velencia did very well at LB. Nobody beat him to get in a deep cross,,, while Rafeal did concede a few.

Rafa looked like he had a dead leg at least. I think we'll be seeing O'Shea and Wes back in the side.
