Interesting, that link takes you to the last page of a closed thread, with absolutely nothing to do with the post you were trying to pretend said something that it didn't. If you want people to stop calling you a liar, stop posting lies.

OK, so, either 1) explain how I'm "still lying" or 2) just ********ing forget about it and start acting like a normal human being rather than e-tough guy.

 

1) The lie there was that you could "tell you that a few months ago that contract clause was not common knowledge in the investor community." Even setting aside the idea that you know what's inside the heads of an entire group of people, you were wrong, unless the "investor community" (if such a thing even exists, which is doubtful enough) ignores stories like this on ESPN as a body. So yes, you were, once again, full of shit. The second part is not a "lie," per se, which is why I didn't post otherwise, but more an obvious exaggeration of your knowledge.

Which I find interesting, considering how quickly and often you play the "insecurity" card. One would think that someone with as much experience right where the rubber meets the road as you have (assuming that those others here who claim it are not the inveterate liars that you are, which I will) wouldn't have to pretend that he knows more than he actually does (remember your whole "Garber makes the decision" fiasco....?) on an internet message board. But, you do.

2) I'm willing to drop it at this, if you are. If not, hey, I can go back and list all the times I challenged you to back up the other lies that you posted, and show how you failed to do so. Your choice.

OK, is it just possible that a few months (said in mid March) ago means before November 29? Do you believe that serious potential investors told me that the Beckham clause was a consideration in the NY franchise, or do you not believe me? Answer that question. I can't tell you who exactly they are because I wouldn't want them to seem that they didn't know something that perhaps they should have known.

2) the garber fiasco? The one where you said that if the shareholders control the corporation and not the CEO, how can Garber control MLS? Good one.

Honestly, this is your last time to show that you can be something other than a frustrated e-troller who just can't believe that it's possible that we've done the things we said we have done because you don't know how.

 

I have no reason (aside from your general lack of credibility in what you post, which I'm willing to set aside in this case) to not believe that an investor or two talked to you. I do have reason not to believe that you can extrapolate that to claim that you know what's "common knowledge among the investor community." Are you too thick to understand the distinction?

And why, exactly, would you need to worry about that? If there was any reason why they should have known, it would have been that the information was, contrary to your assertion, common knowledge.

EDIT: Not to mention, if we assume that Terry Byrne knew about the Beckham exception clause well before the ESPN article (for instance, when the contract was signed in the first place, YEARS, not months ago), why would he keep it a secret? Wouldn't he have shared the info with anyone for whom it would be relevant? Like, just to pull an example out of thin air, "the investor community"?

No, the one in which Garber went on record and said that he does not make the decision, and which you can't seem to grasp the concept that every corporation in the entire world doesn't conform to a model you found described on Wikipedia. That one.

Just because you don't know the difference between correcting posts that are not true and "e-trolling," doesn't mean that there isn't one.

Wow, way to focus on the negatives, guys.

For the record, I was only skeptical of the Cosmos. (repeat: was) I never questioned the Borough Boys' dedication to the cause. NOT ONCE. Remember, I came to you guys first because of three things:
1. We were starting a supporters group of our own and I was looking for some advice.
2. You were an already established SG without a local team, such as ourselves.
3. You just so happened to be easily accessible because I was living in NYC at the time.

I was welcomed, I enjoyed my time there, and I considered myself a member. I still have a scarf of yours - my first - and I was proud to build my collection on that. (By the way, Nick, I still owe you one of ours. [stupid bet; damn Lions found another way to lose] We're still working on finding a company to make them.)

With the latest, I am agreeing with Metrogo 100%. I've heard about all that myself. SYoshonis, he knows a lot more than you think. That being said, I'm regretting trying to step in between the two of you. Clearly that didn't turn out well for anyone.

Online Q&A? I didn't get anything. Yet, anyway. Hope it gets in my inbox soon.

P.S. Slightly off topic (but not really), wouldn't it be better if you couldn't see a quoted post from someone on your ignore list? Sure would come in handy. Someone should ask Huss about that.

Well, since you have so little faith in me, I'll make sure I beat your 2 posts, and take out all my anger on your facebook updates.

 

MODS - I'm requesting a forum ban for SYOSHONIS -

1. He's shown to be excessively argumentative, even when someone else concedes a point

2. He's constantly calling people liars, when in fact it's been shown that those speaking have first hand knowledge of events. Events that certain posters on here have attended with Cosmos directives.

3. He's shown a general hatred towards the general premise of this thread and its main posters.

4. He INTERFERES with the flow of information, which this board is set up to provide. Most posters here understand that there is a certain amount of skepticism/animosity coming from differing parts of the country and we readily accept it, but SYoshonis' skepticism and animosity has come thru above and beyond what anyone expects.

There are more reasons but if you search thru the NYC expansion forum, you will find all the proof that you need. These forums aren't meant to be a case study in how to post and counter post but rather a way to effective relay information regarding the NYC expansion movement, SYoshonis BLOCKS this information, that's why he deserves a forum ban.

Please take action on these right away!

This isn't an all-or-nothing proposition. I have shown a few of the specific lies he has posted. That doesn't mean that I believe that everything he posts is a lie, and I have never asserted that.

It does show, however, that not everything he posts is true, whether you and Tavio want to believe it or not. Like every other poster, he has to be judged on what he posts, and he does have a tendency to distort the truth, again, whether you and Tavio like it or not.

I'm willing to leave it at that, and so should you.

 

Stuff doesn't become true just because you post it, whether it's crap like this or the other crap that you seek to be able to post unchallenged, and without foundation.

Answer: I don't, and couldn't even if I wanted to, which I don't. I'm sorry that you can't understand the difference between calling you out on posting stupid things and stopping people from posting information. It isn't that difficult a distinction, but it's apparently completely beyond your capabilities.

The only thing that I show "a general hatred towards" is disdain for the truth, which you and Metrogo have shown in abundance. Stop pretending otherwise.
