******** yes. My first and only trip to Highbury was David Rocastle Day, 2006. Ohhhh, Rocky, Rocky! Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocky Rocastle!
Thanks for posting this. I think it's always so very important to remember those who are gone. I never got to see the man play, I guess I'm too new and too young, but his legend alone is breathtaking. Lets get a win today in his honor.
Hard to believe it's been 10 years, The Arsenal could do with someone like you now One of his graetest games in an Arsenal shirt, the scum, leading at half time announced to their fans how to get tickets for the Final, The Arsernal, and Rocky in particular wern't having that. The rest as they say is History RIP ROCKY...LEGEND [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geJbTwOQoQU"]YouTube - Spurs 1 Arsenal 2 in THAT semi final replay 1987[/ame]
Dissapointment, another that wasn't treated well by the club! Apparently he cried when George Graham told him he was going
i share my birthday with rocky (but 2 years younger) rip. (ps. to be fair, george made the right decision, as disappointing as it was. rocky's knee was done by the time he was let go.)
He's trending on twitter! RIP Rocky!! Paul Davis and Alan Smith talk about the day when Arsenal told him he could go and speak to Leeds, and their reactions. And yes Paul confirms that Rocky did cry. It is around the 3:34 in the video [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUaNieDfBVw"]YouTube - Tribute to Rocky Rocastle[/ame]
Would any of them cry if they were told they were leaving The Arsenal today? Not in a million years. A true legend in every sense of the word. RIP ROCKY
Legend. To be fair I think the "romance" a player has with the club is something very rare nowadays. It's just a different game. I do believe some would cry, or be emotional. RIP Rocky. Proper legend.
