You realize we had one of the best road records in the league last year, right? Try referring to some stats, or perhaps even taking a minute to wonder if you should bother hitting the 'submit' button next time.
He has a point although he overstates it so badly that it loses its meaning. Backe tried a few times at the end of the season to play a 4-5-1 when away from home and the team always looked terrible when they do.
I was working backwards and stopped when i got back to Toronto. The last 6 road results of the year: @ Toronto, W 4-1 @ Salt Lake, L 0-1 @ Dallas, D 2-2 @ Los Angeles, W 2-0 @ Philly, L 2-1 @ San Jose, W 1-0 Are we sure we're not imagining the road deficiencies last year? I know 2008 and 2009 were BRUTAL, but as I stated before we were well above average on the road in 2010. There is also no visible dip at the end of the year.
This raises a question. Who prevails in a fight, a toothless lion, or a one-horned bull? See my answer: MLS Pregame Rant: Columbus Crew Vs. New York Red Bulls All I know is that I'm hoping the Crew haven't figured anything out yet. I think our decimated squad can take the team that played DC in RFK.
Vote for Agudelo for MLS Goal of the week here: http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/vote-now-att-goal-week he is leading w/ 32% at present with Jaimie Smith a close 2nd at 26%
Santos' strike was nicer than Smith's and Smith's involved zero teamwork, dunno why he's even in second.
Excuse my lack of fully scanning all the posts, but has it been confirmed that MSG will show the game on this coming Saturday? The MSG website shows not.
+1 http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/teams/redbulls2.php?article_id=26799 So will Lassiter start with Carlos as our center backs on Sat.?
It seemed like Keel had more playing time in the preseason so that gives the impression to me he would be more likely to start. Now that Henry has been ruled out, I hope Backe doesn;t move Ballouchy to a supporting striker role. I would rather see what Rodgers and Hertzog can do out there.
Thank any deity you have that we're playing the Crew this weekend. While I doubt our cobbed together lineup could beat the Sky Blue FC on Saturday, I'm pretty sure we'll still win in Columbus.
If we win Saturday will be one of the best wins of the year, in defense we will have 3 players that never had play together Solli, Mendes and Keel or Lassatier and I thing will be a lot of misunderstanding between them, so if we win will be fantastic....
I agree. Even if we get a tie, I will be happy. I can only imagine if we were also without Lindpere. We do need that 30th player on our roster. It's nice having all those young players, but so many of them are really not ready yet. I think we have no choice but to see what Hertzog can do. I have a feeling he may surprise some people. I hope Ballouchy does not get thrown on the front line.
Will the match be televised or has it been blacked out? can't find it on the MSG listings, and i doubt it would be on ESPN since they have the USMNT that same day.
Très bon. Now, if only I could get my TV to reverse its decision to cut off a few inches on all sides. When I re-watched the recorded home opener later at my place I was spared the sight of Miller getting caught out of position and I was left with a very position impression of a fullback making some nice runs with the only drawback being some lost possession haha. Then I read some write-ups.
No Titi vs Columbus... His Hammy has hacked him up... http://www.bigapplesoccer.com/teams/redbulls2.php?article_id=26809
I dont know...I dont think the analogy is quite accurate yet... Besides, the nickname "Little Things" Henry doesn't exactly sound awesome.
Dyer just tweeted that Sutton is out with a Concusion. This means that recent signing Alex Howarth will start in net for us.
This is just getting ridiculous. A tie in this game would be fantastic. Hopefully he is Alec Dufty 2.0
Me too, is only the 2nd game of the season like this the Coach will have chance to fix what ever have to fix right now or at the summer brake....I love it man.....
