Dallas Cup

My brother and I are trying to go as well, but it still is a bit up in the air.

 

I think it's more likely than not that I'll be there. I just have a couple things I need to sort out - like when I'm fighting next and whether my wife will be around to watch our daughter. I'm pretty sure my brother is going; I believe he already has bought his plane ticket. I'll let you know when I know for sure. It would be nice to meet up with some of you all for a game or two.

Sucks that I can't see the team when I'm just a few hours away, even if its just Chucks Aneke and Luke Freeman.

 

I know a hotel right next to DFW, and a bar in Grapevine, where you can
smoke at the bar......is that any help??

 

I will investigate what air miles can get me now.

 

There are several hotels around the tollway by the mall which makes it ideal for going places. I believe there is the Embassey and a bit further into Frisco there is a Holiday Inn(Express?). The good news is these two places are near good watering holes.

When I am in Dallas, Trinity Hall (75&Mockingbird) is where we usually meet up at.

 

I wasn't really too interested in going to this, but now that you put it like that!

 

I wouldn't be able to make the first weekend (17th) but I'll see what I can do about the next. April is turning into a very busy month.

 

I'm seriously thinking about coming over but to be honest it would be less about the football and more about seeing some friends over a pint or two. If you can make the second w/e Cam I'd make sure I hang around, or maybe we could meet halfway in Austin, or even San Antonio?

I have spent time in Texas before so to see somewhere new I'm considering flying up to Chicago afterwards for a few days and then home from there. Dave, think any of the Chicago Gooners would be up for a night out mid week?

I may be able to make it up for the second weekend. First is out as we have a friend in town. I'll check schedules and with Leigh, but should be able to make it, especially if Judy is coming across the pond! Not that I don't like the rest of you, but it is easier to see Stateside people...

 

So it's sounding like the second weekend is the one to aim for.

told Uncle Sam, that I had a more important meeting!

Sorry guys...It's not that I don't think that a meet up with you, is any
less important....but it's Judy......and Steph!!!

 

Rog - the second w/e is 23/24th April. If they haven't kicked you back to Blighty, the meeting with Uncle Sam shouldn't be a problem. Mind you, if you've swapped sides by then I'm not sure I want you to come - just another damn Yank to gang up on me!
