Nothing much to say. Don't need to be fancy. We need a win or a 0-0 draw.

    Let's do this.

We need a win or goaless draw.

Glad to see Khedira get some minutes. Wouldnt mind CR on the bench (unless he is fully fit) as Ade and Benz have been woring well so far.

Seems Lisandro will be making the trip.

Lyon beat Sochaux 2-0 away this evening, with goals from Lisandro and Pjanic - 2 players I hate with all my heart  . It will be important for Pepe/Carvalho to keep a watchful eye on Lisandro because he seems to be in good scoring form, scored a hat-trick last week.

Damn way to go on getting on with it in starting the thread! lol

We need a draw and going through will be a massive confidence boost, im confident we can win so long as we keep our concentration. Ronaldo will be back hopefully and this is where Mou has to work his magic! Lets do this ladies! :D

I'm thinking it won't be a scoreless game. Either we win 2-1, or we draw 1-1 .:/

Me too, I can't stand Lisandro.

Question is, will we play with 2 forwards?

It's at home, we got a perfect record at home this season, I don't expect that to change.

I don't see it happening, since CR7 will be back. Mou will probably revert to his original formation of 4-2-3-1. Unfortunately, that could probably mean removing Benzema from this second striker position (where has been most effective) and putting him as the lone man up front (where he has had problems)

Could this finally be the year? I hope so.

Hopefully we won't have any retarded refereeing decisions, brain farts, or just pure bad luck, and we should be fine.

I can't help but think that the pressure on the players is beyond HUGE. They are on the verge of qualifying to the next round the first time in 6 years! I really hope this doesn't affect them.

I pray for Benzema to continue his scoring form. Go get em' Benz!

In the post match interview after Hercules, they asked Iker his favorite Champions Leagu moment. He talked about the comeback in 2002 against Bayern at the Bernabeu. (We lost the first leg 2-1 away)

I know the picture quality isn't the best, but listen for the shouts of "Oooooooole! Oooooooole!" towards the end. Gave me goosebumps!

Those days need to come back soon.

Man Ivan Helguera scored some important goals in his Real Madrid career. I miss that bastard.

Ironically, he's a bit of a fan of our team now, whenever i've heard him speak during a Champions League broadcast, he's soooo into Mourinho and the current Real Madrid side, it's unreal.

Benz started to find his form before being moved to the second striker position. He is developing into a world class striker, put him alone up front or in the support role, it doesn't matter at this point he will shine either way...it's just the support role gives him more time on the ball, without ronaldo, benz is basically the defacto ronaldo.

The thing is I have a feeling that mou will play with three pivots. If luck is on our side he may go two in the first half and switch to three in the second if we still have a clean sheet.

Please for the sake for us Madridistas let's be positive.

I really want to kick the s*** out of Lyon after what they did against us last year. Godamn for the love of god I hope none of our players predict stupid ass results.

Let's kill this M******F******** jinx we've been having for a long time. I'm all hyped.

Similar things were said befgore we bought him. The boy just doesnt have those skill sets yet imo, and playing him upfront alone could cost us the tie.

This is what I think too. I won't go as far as saying it could cost us the tie, but IMO Benz will be less effective than coming in from the left. That's why I would rather have had Adebayor score those 2 goals at the weekend, so we come in to the game with a true 9 who is in form. Oh well, we'll just have to see I guess.

Also, we had better not play with 3 DMs in our own home ground  Remember the last time we did that against Bayern (away)? Turned out to be a goddamn disaster.
