Vapor III Sample http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-NIKE-MERCUR...t=UK_Football_Rugby_Boots&hash=item4aa92669f5 Kinda nice
I bought myself the Nike Total 90 Laser III Elite's, and after just two hours I see one of the studs is already breaking. How can I stop it? (I was playing on turf, but it's the newer turf that's like grass.)
If it comes down to it, at least Nike a great with returns. It's not ideal obviously to have to go through that process after you just bought them but you can at least get another free pair of boots basically.
I thought to get a replacement pair from Nike you had to be in the states, do they do returns for Canada as well? Anyone have any experience or any tips for returns from Canada?
so if my Maestri I Elites studs break and I send them in, would I get sent a pair of Maestri II Elites? that'd be awesome haha
yeah, you'll get replacements sent to you....but it's a toss up depending on the series. You should get a "similar pair" but you don't get to choose what you get. I drove down to Blaine, WA(border town) and shipped my CTR's back to Tennessee. I got a voucher to a mail forwarding place in the same town, and I'll just ship my new shoes to that address when the CTR II's hit ID. That's just what I preferred to do because I'd rather have the control of the money if I decided I didn't need anymore boots at the time. EDIT: to the above post, you could. You could also get I Elite's in whatever colorway they have in the warehouse. It's that unknown that made me drive to the US to return mine so I at least get a choice.
Yeah, sorry, I didn't take notice to your location. I guess though if at all possible it would be best to do the return through the US so that you get a choice of boots for equal retail value rather than a pair sent to you of similar style at random.
I bought them from new from someone else in the states without the box though, might be harder to get a replacement. Would I have to cover shipping? Going through the states won't work for me, I live pretty far from the border. Do you think gluing them would void any warranty? I still need them for my upcoming tryouts and if they don't take them back I don't want them to be totally broken.
You don't need a box but I bet it'll be tough get a voucher if it's actually shipped from Canada haha. You'd have to cover shipping to them though. I'd be wary of gluing or making any adjustments to them. They can be as subjective as they want when judging your shoes and I would do anything that would give them a reason to reject a return. If you don't care about color and such, just send them back in Canada.
How much would shipping be? How long do you think I have until I can make a return? I'm thinking of just breaking all the studs (over time, not trying to break them ) and returning them later. That way I won't have to deal with them again for awhile. I don't care about the color really, doesn't matter to me.
thanks for the info TommyGooner, very helpful stuff to know. I'll try to send them through from states if i can then, might cost some extra shipping but its probably worth it to know that i have a choice.
dude.... canadapost.ca I would deal with it now, since outdoor season don't start until April/May. You will have plenty of time to play with your voucher.
Well, I don't have any good scales around so I won't get very close rate to what it'll really be. I have a bunch of tryouts coming up and I need the shoes.
Just saying, I have 4 studs missing now on my Laser III Elites (all of the horizontally oriented ones) and I don't feel the difference at all between the ones lacking studs and the one that has all there studs (both WC's, sold the 3rd pair). I've had 0 grip problems, and weight distribution is fine. Personally, I plan on sending them in after the season, as they still have an entire year on their warranty, why not use it? Why go through the process of breaking in another pair when you don't have to? Sure it's annoying, but I haven't found that it really effects anything.
figure on 3 pounds as a safe guess. Just from my experience, expect $20-25. I'd probably send them in a shipping bag to cut down on the weight(obtainable at Canada Post or sometimes you can go to UPS and they'll just straight up give you one from behind the counter if you get a quote and decide it's too high).
