Magic have chosen a new DOC but it won't be official for another week. Supposedly a another coach or two will be hired. It will still take another year or two but I think they are headed in the right direction.

Oooh, the suspense is killing me.:D This is like a thriller movie.

Are they hiring a new DOC or new DA Head Coach? And why are they hiring one or two new coaches? Does that mean someone else will be fired also or is the Magic just adding coaches?

My sources are suspiciously quite lately.........

Why do you think I would be surprised? Is it someone who used to work there before?

That would not be a surprise, to me at least.

Do you have info that it is not him or are you just hoping that it is not him?

But why all the charade with initials and resume? ;) Should have just told us that it is going to be "Loosing My-Toes" :D

When will he start or has he started already? Is he going to have enough time to mold the players to his way of playing?

L.M. is a good choice he will have his hands full, especially now that the Fire will be next door in Orland with someone familiar to the Magic running that program.

Wait, I thought the poster said that LM will be the new DOC of Magic. So he may not be actually coaching the DA teams. TB and the existing staff can still be in charge of DA right? Any Magic parents care to share what's going on?

I heard that L.M. will be the new head coach of the Magic DA and possibly the DOC of the whole club. I personally wouldn't be surprised if he tries to lure his brother into taking some kind of role at the club as well. He has been wasted at FC United imo.

What does that mean for TB and NP? I'm not sure. I've heard the Magic plans to add more coaches in the near future (a couple to be precise), but not sure in which geographical area and at what positions. It looks like there is genuine attempt by the owners to improve the quality of the coaching staff. We'll see what comes of it.

If that is the case then TB and NP need to stay (IMO of course).

If he coaches the DA I believe he will have to give up his USSF title, if he becomes DOC he might be able to hold it.
    Can you confirm yonko?

Let's see, about 100 people knew of the coach news a couple weeks ago and you had no clue.

I don't think you have proven to be a very good source for accurate info in the past and I don't think much has changed.

You can't work for Goldman Sachs and the SEC at the same time. You can't scout and coordinate for the USSF at the same time as you help run and coach at a club.

    :D
You seem to have done not much more than regurgitate my post from a couple weeks ago. I hope to God I haven't become one of your sources.

It does seem that the Magic has really done some great work and are making upgrades to the coaching staff. This follows a great new indoor facility in HP and a large increase in the number of teams. There are some very good coaches there already, another fantastic guy added and a couple more to come.

Because the number of teams at the Magic has grown significantly, adding another coach or two doesn't mean coaches will be let go. NP has been running many of the Acad sessions and he is well regarded. I hear he runs a very good training session. TB has run a few sessions as well and he seems to be a well organized guy who makes certain the kids work hard.

I continue to feel the Magic are making great strides. Athough they are not a finished product they are a great place to be.

Perhaps the Magic and Rockford Raptors will become sister clubs of sorts.

There are three great Academy choices in the Chicago area.

PS - A couple of very good coaches will be running sessions at the IL Soccer Expo. :D

Yes, that is correct. He would have to give up his USSF job. But that job is one of the reasons he is the one they are hiring.

Oh Really? Don't be so sure about the 100 people knowing.

Which of my info in the past hasn't been accurate? FIY, there is some parts I purposely choose to leave out for a reason. I will keep you guessing why.

I have told you before that we might be sharing some common sources. In some cases you get the info first, in others I get it first.....

What is this new indoor facility in HP? The "bubble" is at its second winter season already. That is not "new" anymore.

You say there are three great Academy choices, yet only two seem to have the good players. BTW, how is the Magic's academy status with the USSF? I heard of some troubles with that......Could that be one of the reasons for hiring L.M.?
