Coming off an emotional, yet somewhat unfulfilling Champions League match, the team returns to the field were Guti did the "tacon de Dios" back pass a season ago! Will Benzema get to start? Will CR7 hunt down Messi in the Pichichi? Will Kaka see some action finally?

Chance for the boys to trim the lead down to 2-3 pts, if only temporarily!

Was last year a fluke? We'll find out on Saturday!. Hopefully it wasnt, supposedly they're quite rubbish them Deportivo these days..

Couple goals for the main man, and perhaps a cameo for Kaka.

Deportivo aren't having the best of season's so far. They're down in 13th place with 24 points. Their home record is not one to be admired having won only 4 out of 11, drawing 5 and losing 2. They've also conceded 12 and scored only 14.

The curse was broken in terrific fashion, and am confident that it will start off a new trend.

Here's to Mallorca coming up big against the Cules as well.

Anyone seen them play recently? Are they still playing a deep line with 3 cb's and 2 wingbacks? If so then space for the forwards will be at a premium, and I reckon we'll need the dribblers in the team (mainly Ronaldo and Di Maria) to be on form for this.

I saw them twice the last 8 weeks.... they are not as good as last year, and although they indeed played with 5 in the back line, they were not as organized as, say, sporting...

it will be a somewhat dificult game, but we should be able to pull 3 pts.... I'm thinking 2-0

Gago's been included twice for some reason. Wonder how P.Leon fails about that. :D

No Higuain, Khedira or Canales because of injury.

Barca is playing Mallorca at home 2 hours before our kick off, so hopefully it's not only a temporarily trimming ;)

Depor have been shit compared to us for a long time now, I'd say at least in the last 5 years, but that has never made a difference. Historically somehow our worst performance of the season comes out there and Depor play out of their skins.

Only last season was it different, with a moment of magic from a possessed Guti that unlocked the game for us. I have the feeling we're going to need something similar again this season; maybe it's time for Kaka to show us what he's got?

Subs. Looking forward to this one, after last year im starting to enjoy beating Depor, it'll be tough and they can't be underestimated but i think we'll come away with the three points. Canales is injured eh? Oh well, I hope that Gago starts instead of Lass, the guy needs minutes, would prefer Benz up front and so long as Kaka' makes an appearance and we come away with the three points i'll be more than happy. Vamos Madrid! :)

Edit: Call me paranoid, but im kinda worried that Ronaldo although has been playing well has had a bit of a goal drought, i know im being over-dramatic but i would love for him to score just for that extra confidence in time for Lyon. Having said this he'll probably just score a hat-trick this weekend lol

I'd like to see Xabi paired with Gago, and Ricardo start alongside Oezil and Ronaldo.

    -----lass--------------------xabi a------------
    Ozil------------Kaka--------------CR7----------

gago to come in for lass in 2nd half
diMaria to come in for kaka in 2nd, and move ozil to middle and dimaria at right wing

Hopefully Barca drops all three points tomorrow. Half of the big guns are missing, Puyol, Valdes and Xavi and Alves(through suspension)

Standard line-up with Lass replacing Khedira. Marcelo back at LB.
Deportivo usually play with 3 CB's and 2 wingbacks...Mou might consider Arbs instead of Ramos because of this. And Ricky to start. Rest Di Maria.

    -------------Iker--------------
    Arbeloa--Pepe--Carvalho--Marcelo
    ---------Lass---Xabi-----------
    Ozil-----------Kaka--------CR7
    ------------Benzema----------

Let's be a little bit realistic, guys :D Gago isn't going to start.

I read somewhere that ronaldo may have picked up a knock and that he is questionable for tomorrow. Also, I was under the impression that both lass and khedira were out for this match? Anyway, it would be great to see granero and xabi in the middle, with kaka and ozil both on the pitch. I may be hoping for too much from the special one, but sooner or later Mou must figure out how to have both ozil and kaka on the pitch together. Kaka is necessary to link the back six to the fronr four. He comes deep to pick it up and rarely gets caught in possession. By the time the defense gets there, kaka has already passed it away. This is a problem with our players. Too many want to hold on to the ball too long and attempt to take on the sefense by themselves. Just pass to the open man! Or take on defenders when good things are possible. Kaka is the opposite, his goal is to keep the ball moving and he does it beautifully. I think with him and ozil the attack would function far smoother.
