Just stumbled upon this very sad news. I remember having all sorts of wonderful dialogues with the Prof back in the NAS and RSS days and meeting him at early Sam's Army games. A great contributer to the US Soccer community. We stand on his shoulders today as we look ahead.
I saw someone at the game on Saturday walking around with a tri-corner ... and immediately thought of Chris.
FWIW, I had the pleasure of talking to Chris' wife shortly after he passed, and I pointed her to this thread. Here's hoping some of our words were able to give her some comfort.
sad news. im not sure if we ever met or not, but i recognize his picture and of course remember him posting here. condolences to his family and friends.
It's probably been years since I've posted anything in the Revo forum. I took a look today to see what was up and saw news about which I had no idea. Thanks for the bump because I probably never would have known. I met up with Chris on several occasions before and after games and enjoyed every one of the conversations. I don't attend matches anymore and my interest in the sport isn't what it was. But I've always remembered Chris. He was unforgettable, recognizable to the point of being iconic. Let perpetual light shine upon him.
