Well, for starters, the fullbacks have to return to defend, or else they shouldn't go on the attack. It's good to have fullbacks who can attack, but they have to remember that their primary job is to be defenders.

That has to be addressed right away. Both Calvo and Clemente were watching the guys go by them like they were all a bunch of Usain Bolts, even though Godoy Cruz didn't try to attack a whole lot.

And Somoza was just standing there, I don't know who he was covering.

Exactly my thoughts. To be honest, at this point I'd be more content seeing a back line of static four... kind of like what Maradona had in mind for the NT when he played a defense of all CBs. If not, then I'd even rather see a 3-4-1-2 and have the LM and RM join the attack and also drop back for some defending, but for god's sake, we can't leave our defense exposed with just two CBs there. Especially when they don't give me too much security, and neither does Garcia/Luccheti.

    La Mitad + Román
Unrreal. Total effectiveness by Godoy Cruz.

Yet, this was more a Barcelona vs Hercules than a Germany vs Argentina WC'10.

The team needs more attention, specially if you gift the opening goal and have to chase the game. I really hope that Luccetti is given the start, he has always deliverd for JC.

You toss the game again ... and Boca wins the next 9 out of 9 times. No drama whatsoever. Lets point at winning the next 18.

To add injury to insult, now Roman has a swollen ankle and will probably not play against Racing.

I remember the exact play that it happened on and was stoked when he continued to play with what appeared to be little to no discomfort. Regardless of what's being reported, I still think he'll play.

I hope so. Something similar happened to me playing weekend warrior soccer, and I thought it was nothing, and then I couldn't play for three weeks. Every time I tried to run it swelled again for some reason.

It was from rehabbing a footy injury on a bike that I realized I was a much better cyclist than I ever would be as a midfielder:D

Maybe it's time for me to do likewise. In fact, I just bought a bike for my daughter, so maybe in the spring I'll get my own and we can start getting out.

To get back to Boca, Falcioni is supporting García. In his own words: "A todos nos hicieron goles boludos".

I hope the fact that the coach was a goalkeeper is a plus, in dealing with the psyche of our goalies. We can't afford more of the crap we saw last Sunday.

In all fairness to Garcia he didn't have much support up the middle and he did gradually get more comfortable as the game went on. Seba was more focused on going forward it seemed while Somoza was focused on impersonating a pylon. We also need to slow down play so we aren't exposed to the counter.

I think Garcia is good and the media is being a bit unfair in pinning it all on him. Was he bad? Definitely. The butterfingers goal and then el centro in which he just stayed put in the same spot were lethargic. But people need to give him a break. He is very talented. He just needs to come of age, although it needs to happen quickly.

How about los laterales? Calvo and Clemente really pissed me off. I also hope that we do not see another game like this and to see them play with huevo vs Racing, who many people say will be a strong candidate in this torneo.
