Nice to have a simple, straightforward win again after last week. The way we concede at any time, under any conditions, without warning I never felt safe until the final whistle, but in the end it's hard to think of anybody in the first 11 who didn't play well. I thought the midfield trio were all excellent today, as was Djourou. Larry the K seems a completely different player when Johann is in there. We really need that spine to stand up as we go forward.

On to Barca. Everyone will say (and I agree) that we are huge underdogs, but anything can happen. This team has shown that they are capable of (and will regularly show you) both the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Who's gonna show up Wednesday?

It was a request that was honored by the current thread maker, so it should be fine. Can't be worse than Ryochi's treachery.

Totally dominant today. The midfield of Fabregas, Wilshere and Song is an absolute perfect mixture. Djourou and Koscielny are a great pairing too.

There wasn't a single sign of nerves after last week, though Song didn't allow any, he was an absolute beast in breaking down any attacks.

And any attack with RvP involves seems to have the potential of a goal. Where would we have finished had we had him fit and match fit for the last 2-3 seasons?

Arshavin wasn't perfect today, but he's a different player than he was a month or so ago. He's continued the much improved work rate of the last few games, and now he's running at players, spotting the passes, scaring the opposition and when Nasri is fit he's going to give Wenger something to think about.

This was an ideal build up game before Barca, and as Mick McCarthy said, they were indeed spanked.

meh not much to say, wolves brought a big sack full of nothing. hard to know if we showed some mental strength by not overlooking wolves or they suck so bad...ts hard to say.

take the 3 points and lets have some fun with the midweek game.

On please god wait for Darth. We can chat in this and other threads.

Not being harsh but goal differential is worth a half point. To bad we could not have at least made up some more ground today.
