When will we be able to pick the team as one of our supported clubs? I get so much crap on these forums because I have Manchester United listed as my only supported club. People think I'm some sort of Eurosnob .
Orlando City To Face BK Hacken Will meet Swedish Premier League side at Disney Orlando City News Release -- www.orlandocitysoccer.com Wednesday, February 2, 2011 ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City Soccer Club is proud to announce Swedish First Division team BK Häcken will face off against Orlando City on March 5th at Hess Field, part of the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex. “We’re delighted to play another quality team,” said Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath. “We all know the strength of the Swedish first division, so we know we’ll be in for a difficult game against a quality team. It will be another step forward in our preseason as we gear up for the USL PRO season opener.” http://uslpro.uslsoccer.com/home/497446.html
Im gonna try real hard to make it against Hacken, why does the gf;s bday gotta be a day before = / might be broke
It was a soccer drought in Orlando and now a monsoon. Not sure if I'll be able to make all things games... tough decisions ahead.
Just checked my bank account and I see Orlando City Soccer Club is charging me for my two season tickets this morning. I think that means the lease is done and we'll soon see tickets
The team says via facebook a big announcement is coming at 4PM. Maybe we'll get to see some kits and hear the lease is finalized?
The announcement was PHYSICALLY big. We have ads on electronic billboards. Also today, they announced friendlies at UCF (3/20) and USF (3/26).
I was very excited to see the heading: "Orlando vs Tampa", but incredibly disappointed when the details revealed it was OCSC vs. USF, not the Rowdies.
Ditto. Word on the grapevine is that a Rowdies vs City game isn't in the cards unless we luck box a match vs you guys in the Open Cup.
Do you think this will never happen because of the animosity between the leagues? I know that USL usually made it impossible for PDL teams to play NPSL teams.
charleston played the railhawks last year in a preseason friendly (and during the USOC) and i have heard that (before the sale of the railhawks to traffic) that the Charleston Battery were suppposed to play them, as well as the Atlanta Silverbacks in March.
That would be a ridiculous reason to not play each other. Anyway, looks like the Mob and the USF Goalmouths are gearing up for your little visit to our neck of the woods in March when you play USF. you might wanna rally the troops.
nice, good stuff.does anyone know when Orlando City will be added to the my clubs list ? i wanna update my info lol
Just noticed that one of my all time favorite Orlando pubs is the offical pub of the team. Now if I can just talk my wife into a trip to Orlando this summer to see a game and go to a post game here. And also like the fact that they serve real ale in hand pumps. Maybe they can get someone to make a Orlando City ale or summer lager. Cricketers Arms Pub http://www.cricketersarmspub.com/ My favorite pub was over by the executive airport, but can't seem to remember the name of it. Best memory of that place was dropping off Lions tickets and running into assistant coach John Higgins. I had one of those summer colds and he suggested that I have a pint of Guiness because he assured me that it "lad, it will fix what ails you" in his Scottish accent.
City sign a jersey sponsor in Orlando Health. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com...ndo-health-orlando-city-sponsorship-agreement
I get a google news email with USL stories in it and posted the story in the news thread. Sorry, I missed the thread you started below on the announcement. Feel free to have a mod delete my post. Silly me, didn't realize that I shouldn't post actual news in the "News" thread.
